Plugin: EmbyCredits, detect end credits and add auto skip.
enterpr1se replied to yocker's topic in Plugins
Hi @yocker, First off, thanks so much for adding .strm file support earlier—it’s been super helpful! Really appreciate all your hard work on this awesome plugin. I’d like to drop another quick feature suggestion if you're open to ideas: Since local OCR and hash detection can sometimes be a bit hit-or-miss, there are times when a newly scanned item isn't on TheIntroDB yet. However, the data might get added there later on. Would it be possible to add an option that checks for updated intro/credit timestamps from TheIntroDB during library scans, and automatically overwrites existing local data if a mismatch is found? No rush at all, just thought it might be a handy toggle to have! Thanks again for considering it! -

After looking into this more, the AC3 stereo problem works fine on my Google TV (TCL) But on my Fire Cube, the ATV app doesn’t invoke any speed change with ac3 stereo. Log sent: ~19:09 user TMC playing: Just Shoot me. (Tried to change speed twice) Tried to change to 2x twice.

Having this problem with some of my installs. The audio COLLECTIONS indicates songs but upon selecting, no songs show up. (Emby indicates "X" number of songs, but zero songs show up.) Consequently, can't play any of the songs contained within. However, using Emby installed on Roku is okay (but can't always play FLAC files.) Emby installed on Shield and Hisense TV apps demonstrates this problem. Current version 4.10.0.40 Running on Windows 11 Thanks for any insight into this problem.

Is there a way I can disable fast forwarding by chapters? Mac OS server using Roku app. Thanks.

Just making sure you had seen the response.

@Luke What's up?

So the second channel should have the same programs in the same order as the first channel but time-shifted one hour? I've never tried that. Potentially it could work with one of the more fixed sort order options like "PremiereDate" or "Playlist sort order", if you set the "Channel Primetime" to one hour later. If you use some other plugin to randomize a playlist, it's probably the best option.

I didn't think of that. I'll give it a try.

Quickmic does all his testing with Estuary. I would try that one first and see if the problem is still there. I have Artic Fuse 3 and will try that one here soon. -
Latest version of Emby - Random lockups - Connection Timeout to https://api4.thetvdb.com
vaise replied to vaise's topic in General/Windows
No issue yesterday - covert the only thing removed. (and that broken box set one) - Will leave it a few days, then add cover art back and see what happens. -
Hi, you can lock the metadata at the series level.
-
where did you enter it in emby server?

kbeck started following TV Show Manual Metadata
-
I've spent 2 years off and on trying to identify a series and the correct episodes. IMDB and TheTVDB are greatly different. Best I can figure the truth is somewhere in between. Don't expect either group to conform to my wishes so I'm not interested in trying to update either site. Question is, if I manually number 450 episodes and create my own metadata images is there a way to "turn off" external metadata? Remove the IDs from the main show metadata? Would rather not do this twice.

Remote Connections not working with Emby 4.10.0.40 Server Update
Bradum replied to Bradum's topic in General/Windows
Sorry, was just waiting for my friend to test. I tried it on my cellular connection, and my friend tried it from his place. No dice on either. -
The movies category is now loading them. However I have a 4K library and it is not. It was working fine before update. Maybe it is a skin issue? What skins are popular to use with Emby for Kodi Next-Gen? Thanks

Dude..are you drunk? No, i never said that, i gave an example of how that setting can get screwed up, i NEVER said it should be removed, @Luke expressed a sentiment to that, NOT me. Just like every setting that affects users that is currently controlled by admin? I dont hear you barking about them and how they "take away their freedom" Just like the other settings that the admin control and have to communicate with its users if they want it or not. And an Admin finding out what their users want/like doesnt seem like something thats unheard of. How does the Admin know what the users like in any other of the Admin-user settings? If an admin didnt like to communicate with its server users, THAT would be egotistical. Why would admins ask users about an option that has been removed? And if Emby chooses to remove an option it is their perogative, i NEVER said anything should be removed Look, I dont know why you feel the need to be rude, patronizing and semi-aggressive on a community forum like this. I realize that none of this displayed behaviour has anything to do with me, or anyone else really, and that this isnt personal towards me. I cincerely wish that you take a minute to reflect on wether your form of communicating can be, i dont know, improved maybe. Beacause if you dont take a minute to think about how you adress other people, THATS egotistical. Take it how you want but im not saying that to provoce you. /N

Yes, you took the time to read and understand it and, potentially, had a pre-conceived notion of what the option was based on your experience with Emby and these forums. We humans actually behave a lot like LLMs in that our brains are typically "filling in the blanks" and predicting the next word you are reading or hearing. This is why many people hear or see what they were expecting to see instead of what is actually there. There are tons of examples of sentences and words written in certain ways where most people will never see the fact that words are repeated or letters are backwards, etc. because our brains just fill in what we expect to see. Don't get me started on the number of people who purchase from us thinking they are going to get access to content. If anyone has really looked at our purchase page and what is necessary to complete a purchase you would never believe that could happen but it does - almost every day. We humans are just lazy sometimes and don't truly read or see what is right in front of us. This is all a bit of a tangent but it is why options can be very tricky to support in a lot of instances.
