    Copy data to users

Hi, no, it will end up copying everything in the copy data dialog, so quite a bit more than that. It's on our to do list to make this more granular.

    Firestick DTS issue

    Hi, what exactly happens?
  6. How is it non-standard?
  7. HI, you also could just step through the wizard and do nothing other than press next on every step and that would have been fine.

    Direct File Access - Exoplayer

Actually, it is pretty much a legacy concept. It is there from the very early days when it was necessary for mounting ISOs and such. It was put in to support "Emby Classic" which ran in WMC. That is no longer today's world. That is your prerogative and I'm sorry this is such an issue for you but we have a very long list of other items to work on that will provide very clear benefits to a much larger segment of our user base. That is where our energy is going to stay for the time being.

    Direct File Access - Exoplayer

@ebrYes, I know you're not reconsidering it. That's precisely the problem I'm criticizing. The functionality is already part of Emby's server architecture. The “Shared network folder” field exists specifically so that Emby clients can access media files directly. As you've just confirmed, the Windows client uses it, while the Android clients don't. So we're not discussing some exotic concept that doesn't belong in Emby. We're discussing an Emby feature that already exists, was previously usable on Android TV as well, and is still used by other Emby clients. The Android implementation stopped being maintained after Android/Shield changes because you decided that too few users benefited from it. I understand that decision. I simply don't agree with it. And “we are not currently reconsidering it” doesn't really address any of the arguments made here for reconsidering it. It only confirms that you currently don't intend to. Which is evidence of a lack of professionalism. Which, incidentally, brings us right back to why I originally described Direct File Access as being “rejected”. @yocker Ironically, it was precisely this setting on the server that made Direct File Access possible in the first place. Not just on Kodi, Linux and Windows… no, on Android as well.
  11. @GrimReaperthanks again for the quick fix! @ebrand @Luke, being that it sounds like my directory structure is "non standard", any recommendations or suggestions to avoid any update issues in the future? I don't mind uninstalling and re-installing emby if necessary, providing I can migrate over my config and not have to re-setup my users/libraries...

    Firestick DTS issue

Thanks for the response.. Yes I think so ...... Looks a bit too involved for me so I will stick with the "Emby for Fire TV" Will try "Emby" now and again in the hope it gets fixed!
  13. 4.9.5.0. But my initial install was over 10 years ago.
  14. You rock! system.xml was under the \config subfolder. I changed the flag from false to true and looks good now!
  15. Yeah, what version were you running before...?

I was asking because i wanted to be sure of the conversation. Must admit i have gotten a little curious about the smb thing.

    Private user rating and views

Hi, there's already an open request for this or something functionally equivalent. Please join in and contribute to the existing discussion at:
  18. @LukeHow did all folders ended up nested under main server folder? It is either a really old install/incremental update or something has got amiss there in the update process; anyway (as your server seems to be running as it's accessible from other devices), do you have system.xml there under \config subfolder?

    Firestick DTS issue

    Same issue?
  20. I don't have a programdata folder. My explorer view shows all hidden and system files btw.

    Direct File Access - Exoplayer

We are not currently reconsidering this position. He's well aware of that field. The issue is our Android apps do not currently use it due to the reasons I laid out. Our Windows (and possibly Linux, I'm not positive on that) apps will use that.
  22. I think it is wrong - becase the "include next up episodes" should be additonal to what would be a candidate for Continue Watching
  23. Hi ebr. I'm right clicking on the emby icon in the task bar and selecting (browse library). The path it takes me to is http://localhost:8096/web/index.html which is auto redirected to http://localhost:8096/web/index.html?start=wizard#!/wizard/wizardstart.html. Going to http://192.168.1.105:8096/web/index.html (ip address of the Emby server) on another computer also brings me to the "welcome to emby setup wizard"
  24. Hm, something might have triggered StartupWizard flag reset. You can try shutting down your server, go to "C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\config" folder and edit system.xml file, change tag: <IsStartupWizardCompleted>false</IsStartupWizardCompleted> to <IsStartupWizardCompleted>true</IsStartupWizardCompleted> Save edited file, restart server.
  25. Is there a way to add the viewed and rated by icon. For example I have 4 users on my Emby server, would be cool to know who viewed already a movie and what they thought about it.
  26. Thank you for the confirmation. It appears that time based episodes recordings (ie without season and episode numbers) get excluded in Continue Watching when the "include next up episodes" is ticked. I have reproduced it and referred it to the development team
