No more that Emby has always used generating these interval placeholders. But yes, disabling it could speed things up when importing new items as it would be one less task to do. Will not apply to anything imported prior to changing this option.

That is only open to their partners.

Web Streams VOD Library View In TV Display Mode
RanmaCanada replied to Lid's topic in General/Windows
This looks like more IPTV stuff, that Emby seriously should just drop support for. Emby is supposed to be about accessing your media, not pirated media services. -
Hello together, my Emby on Docker on an Ubuntu host is crashing many times a day. I am on the latest beta 4.10.0.10 right now and have a few plugins installed, that are using FFmpeg to analyze media info and generate intro and credit markers. I could see before a crash, that many ffmpeg processes are running on the container. I set a memory limit of 8GB in the docker compose (I have 32GB in total) but have a feeling that the container is still using more than that most of the time. These crashes happen independently of somebody watching or not and also when there is no scheduled run of any of the plugins. It seems to be just randomly. I tried to analyze Embys logs but couldn’t see any crash report. I also asked an AI to help me analyze but it was no help in the end. I have attached a screenshot of htop showing the many processes and the latest log before the last crash. Would be very nice if somebody could help me finding out what the problem here is and hopefully even help me fix it. If you need any more information I can provide it hopefully. my docker compose: emby: image: linuxserver/emby:beta container_name: embyserver network_mode: host # Enable DLNA and Wake-on-Lan environment: - UID=1000 # The UID to run emby as (default: 2) - GID=100 # The GID to run emby as (default 2) - GIDLIST=1000,4,993,2 # A comma-separated list of additional GIDs to run emby as (default: 2) volumes: - /var/lib/emby/config:/config # Configuration directory - /var/lib/emby/plugins:/plugins - /tank:/mnt - /opt/dispatcharr:/opt/dispatcharr - /tank/docker/tmp/ocr:/ocr - /tank/ApertureLibraries:/aperture-libraries - /mnt/Serien:/Serien - /downloads:/downloads - /opt/emby/index.html:/system/dashboard-ui/index.html - /opt/emby/Spotlight.js:/system/dashboard-ui/Spotlight.js - /opt/emby/spotlight-items.txt:/system/dashboard-ui/spotlight-items.txt devices: - /dev/dri:/dev/dri # VAAPI/NVDEC/NVENC render nodes mem_limit: 8g memswap_limit: 8g oom_kill_disable: false stop_grace_period: 30s restart: always embyserver-63911952902.txt

It's a known issue actually. The non-working options should be hidden.

Resume playing link on Google tv home screen
crusher11 replied to dvesely's topic in Feature Requests
This is correct, though the universal app is still sending poster.jpg instead of landscape.jpg despite all the other apps having landscape-orientation images. -
I do have an option to choose which apps send suggestions, but Emby is not available on that list. Streamers like HBO and Netflix are there. Any chance Emby might be integrated into that system in the future? Thanks
-
I have that corrected for the next update. Thanks!

Emby Theme: Retro Navy & Gold (W/ Seasonal Themes)
MediaEmby1968 replied to Aleas's topic in Web App CSS
I've noticed that in this version the Home icon (the one that appears in the top left when you open a library) doesn't change color, whereas it did in version 4.115. How can I change it, since the other icons have changed color? -
And when might that be? This default font 'bug' is really annoying.
-
@Luke I think it should be an option but with a disclaimer that it is an experimental feature and may not be consistent across all devices. Maybe only allow it to trigger when transcoding is not occurring.
-
Yeah, I sort of get that. But when I use the horizontal home screen setting. I get what I think is a better home screen layout for use on a TV with a remote like this. And then for local library content I pick the Shows icon from the Home Screen above and get taken to this view, see below, which has the titles and years under the posters, the filter and sort options and the letter jump list. But the VOD content isn't handled in the same way. But I guess this is because it's different content provided externally and by the plugin. It would just be nice if the views were consistent for the content but appreciate the horizontal view is sort of legacy and the VOD content isn't structured the same as a local content library. It was just a kind of would be nice to have kind of request.

External Player (Vimu) resume position issue on Android TV
franco72 replied to franco72's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Thank you for the reply. I understand you currently only have this integration with MPV, but for high-end home theater users, an external player like Vimu is a necessity for two critical reasons that the internal player currently cannot handle: 1. Dolby Vision Profile 7 (FEL) Support: Vimu is one of the few players that correctly handles Profile 7 to Profile 8 conversion on the fly. Without this, my projector defaults to HDR10 when using the internal Emby player, losing the benefits of Dolby Vision. 2. Buffering and Cloud Streaming (Real-Debrid): I frequently stream high-bitrate remuxes via Real-Debrid. Although I have a 200 Mbps connection, occasional ISP speed fluctuations are inevitable. In Vimu, I can set a 1 GB buffer, which completely eliminates stuttering by creating a massive "safety net." The internal Emby player, with its much smaller buffer, constantly hits frame freezes during minor speed drops, and sometimes it freezes indefinitely. For files with a 100 Mbps bitrate, a massive buffer is the only way to ensure a seamless experience when streaming over the network. -
Thx but no --- Ok, my next try, step by step. Movie: "65" "Identifikatiom entfernen" - the movie is still listed as "Season 1" but it is not a TV-serial "Identifizieren" - by titel: "65 (2023)" - get a lot of results but no one to choose by ID: - TMDB 700391-65, result: "Es wurden keine Einträge entdeckt, die den Suchkriterien entsprechen." - IMDB tt12261776, 3 Screenshots, named IMDB 1, 2, final" - TVDB 290290, 3 Screenshots, named TVDB 1, 2, final 2012" similar results Is your turn now...

Emby Theater with Emby Server without Network Connection
Neminem replied to mtk143089's topic in Linux & Raspberry Pi
TBH the server will need to confirm also from time to time. Usually 1 time a week. But as you Server and client is running on the same device, you should be fine, if you can tether or hotspot it. -
Emby Theater with Emby Server without Network Connection
mtk143089 replied to mtk143089's topic in Linux & Raspberry Pi
Ah, didn't know there was a license confirmation involved. I'll try a tether to my cell phone -
Yes unfortunately. Since this is built using JS injection, there's no support for non-webclients. I'd love to be able to port it to the native Emby clients but that's not a possibility from my plug-in at this time.
