What RTM means?

It sounds like you installed the Emby app on your FireCube. To use the app you need to connect it to someone who is running an Emby server. Emby is basically a media manager. It manages YOUR media, or allows you to connect to someone else's Emby server. If you want to install EmbyServer so you can watch your OWN movies, music, etc. then you will need to the EmbyServer application on a NAS or your PC. Emby as the app doesn't just "work". Think of it a GUI interface that allows you to watch media you have stored on a disk in your home, or if you know someone who runs their own private EmbyServer, they can make you a user account so you can use the Emby app on your FireCube to access their media remotely. When you use Netflix, you log in through the Netflix app that points to the Netflix servers so you can watch movies on their systems. Emby is the same. The media content has to live somewhere, the app is just a way to access it.

My Alexa music playback went from generally working to never working a month or so ago. For people that its working for.. do you see more in the logs like a playbackstream url? I am trying to ascertain what URL is being provided to the alexa to initiate playback. But all i see in the logs is the skill successfully querying the Emby Webservice for the content. @hatharrydo you have access to more [skill] logging please to help me ascertain where things are failing over? Hello. Yes, users can change their passwords. When a user logs in they can click their profile icon > app settings > profile and in the password section they can change the password themselves. I think that doing this bypasses Emby Connect so if they forget their password, you will have to reset it for them. If I am wrong, please someone let me know.

The issue is collection has a metadata separate from the movies inside it so you have to make sure the parameters in the metadata matches the configuration in the plugin. Let me show you in my screenshots. In your collection right click on -Edit metadata> select release date and put recent date and new collection tag will show up. let me know this fixes the issue

Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce Traxx, an Android music app I have been developing for use with Emby music libraries. The main reason I started building it is simple: I became tired of Spotify and wanted to enjoy my own music collection again. Emby already does a great job of managing my media, but I could not really find a dedicated music-only Android app for Emby that felt focused, clean and comfortable to use. So I decided to build one myself. Traxx is designed specifically around music. The idea is to make browsing and playing your own Emby music library feel simple and enjoyable, without all the extra video-related parts getting in the way. The app is now in the final stage of development, and it already includes: browsing albums, artists and songs from an Emby server displaying album artwork clearly playing music from your own library a clean Android interface focused only on music making larger music collections easier to navigate Android Auto support playback of playlists created in Emby creating new playlists directly inside the app support for static lyrics automatic LRC lyrics support I am also working on Alexa integration, although I still have to see if I can get that working the way I want. For now, my main goal is to make the core music experience stable, pleasant and reliable. Below some images of the looks of the app. I would love to know if other Emby users are interested in testing Traxx. OH MY GOD .... im so Sorry ... i found the Reason. i had 3 .ignore Files in the Movie and Series Folder for some Cover Folders. .embyignore .ignore .plexignore i deleted them and now everything is working.

Okay. I have to take back what I said. It doesn't work after all. As soon as I add the “Movies” folder and then click “Scan Library,” nothing happens. As mentioned above, the folder is set to R:\Movies.

Well, I’ve sped up big renaming jobs by using https://renamer.io since it lets me apply rules like prefixes, numbering, and case changes in one go and preview everything before I commit. I like that it handles folders smoothly, so jumping in and out of seasons is quick, and the undo button has saved me more than once. It’s been a solid fix for cleaning up full series without the usual slog.

I'm only showing a few movies, sometimes zero, in my collections where previously they were all populated correctly. Additional question: I have multiple Kodi profiles corresponding to my multiple Emby users. I've added the users in the E4K add-on but how do I link the Kodi profile to its respective Emby user?

Agree. I using Seerr and Ombi for requests as they supporting email notifications. So when movie or show is available, user receiving email. Why both? Seerr using for only user requests and have pretty design, but not showing in requests page when movie is released. Ombi for request upcoming movies, shows. Ombi also sending weekly "spam" about new content.

Quite a bit has landed since the last feature release. This version adds mostly bug/security fixes and hardening, and the ability to adjust timing for intro & credit markers. I've also moved the user guide to a proper site and refreshed the screenshots. Feel free to grab it from here!
