It wouldn't be a new feature in this case, The option to set this already exists. It just doesn't affect those links because they have a hard-coded value tacked onto the end of them. &tab=suggestions

It has always been like that, header click opening Suggestions page for both Movies and Tv Shows content-type libraries. You are welcome to open a Feature Request topic in respective forum section. Feature Requests - Emby Community

Home screen settings for the account in question are configured to have the default screen for every library as "Movies" or "Shows". However depending on where you click for each library some links will ignore this setting and always go to "suggestions". The my media lists at the top of the page and the side bar both work fine. But the heading above each individual library does not. This seems to be a server-side bug as it affects all the web client, android and the new linux beta. (I am technically running this on linux server, but based on what this is I expect it probably affects all versions of server)

Thanks for implementing that - unfortunately, not really useful (in my scenario) as icons move diagonally according Edge Padding value - IMHO they should move based on selected layout: for vertical layout, padding should be counted from upper/lower poster edge and vice-versa, for horizontal layout it should be counted from left/right poster edge. Or split that setting into vertical & horizontal padding value, if feasible. Thanks.

Hi, what happy2play suggested is what I would recommend so that you can have grouping based purely on files. Currently that will produce a better looking result with the version selection drop down.

I've added settings for some other wise hardcoded values to icon placements. I also fixed the filename rule bug that put an icon in for every file name hit. Pictures speak louder than words. @GrimReaperThe last one there might be of interest to you, again it's the best i can do as everything is % based so hard to make everything move independently. WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! This is a beta and should only be used on a test server as bugs might have been overlooked or new once have snugged in. Keep in mind that enabling everything at once might be CPU intensive for smaller CPU's so keep an eye on your CPU usage if using small and/old CPUs! Testing has been done on a system with Ryzen 3900x with no noticeable slow down, granted that isn't a small CPU. A thank you to @Neminemfor testing the caching optimizations i did so i could add the extra features and reminding me that a save button would be needed. Having an odd issue where I cannot start playback at the beginning of a file, but I can start playback anywhere else. Started happening recently. It's not the Emby devs who work on the Truenas app Hjason, that's kinda why this whole thing has been dragging on. Stavros(maybe others too i don't know) made an app and is using some sort of script/bot to push updates to it. He is not part of the Emby team as far as i'm aware. Emby had a naming scheme in the past which funnily enough seemingly accidently since it wasn't their plan to do so and nobody seems to know where it came from but that's what the Truenas people were using and what let the Truenas app run and work with a stable release. Untill the Emby devs who didn't know that this was a thing had a release with a version name that didn't line up with that naming scheme. There's been months of back and forth on this and now it should get fixed with a future update that get's pushed out. An update from Emby that is. Once Emby puts out an update that ends in .0 the script/bot will do it's thing and push the update to the Truenas users which in turn will give an update to the Truenas app. This sequence of events should give a stable release to people who use Truenas to host Emby. But i want to repeat once again that i don't know how smooth updating from beta to stable will be or if we will have to do a quick reinstall. Time will tell on that one.

Hi, for background playback you will probably want to use an installed Emby app. The browser is likely pausing or throttling the tab to conserve resources.
