Just wanted to check, is this now fixed? I had a quick test myself, and it still seems to be an issue with HDR Tone Mapping reverting to CPU. So I am still on version 4.9.1.90 where it is working okay.

Hi all, This is not a showstopper by any means but the Background Image (or Theme Video) displayed for the selected object on both the Home and Detail screens is VERY faint, to the point that for darker images, they are almost invisible on the default Dark theme. I have two Samsung TV's and both of them exhibit the same issue; UE75TU7020KXXU - Software v. T-KTSU2DEUC-2743.0 UE65RU7100KXXU - Software v.T-MSLDEUC-1500.9 Both are running the native Tizen Emby app version 2.3.6 (I think this is the latest available in the UK store). This is not blocking anything, it's just a quality of life thing. I only noticed as I am trialing a move away from Firestick (with Amazon's play to lockdown the device). I gave the native app a spin as almost everything else I need is available through the TV OS. Overall I'm fairly happy with how the app performs (it's not the same speed as an Android client but it's pretty good for a TV OS). This is the only thing I have found thus far that is bugging me. I only noticed as I still have one device on Firestick and moving between the two it's blatantly obvious. This may be fixed in a later app version (I don't want go to down the Beta route for what is basically a cosmetic change) in which case I will hold fire until a new version is released. If someone could send a later build to Samsung for updating in the store that would be great though I have attached images of both the Home and Detail pages on Tizen and Fire OS for comparison. HI, that's surprising. Was there a lot of scanning activity following the update?

I went back to the default settings (I had added +fra to the OCR as well as quite a few keywords; now I've removed both fra and jpn, along with the Japanese keywords, and it's running much better. I'll add them back once I've finished the essentials). That said, the scan could still stop again at any moment.

I haven't tested this version yet. I started it last night on 8.1, but when I woke up, the scan had stopped again. Even after adjusting the OCR, I still have quite a few episodes failing, even with 'OCR with hash fallback' enabled. embyserver.txt

With regard to the translucent backdrops, that's a server issue not an app issue @Luke I can replicate on the web as well: Settings -> General -> Enable backdrops. When the home page loads, it loads a random backdrop, then that stays in place over the top of the spotlight backdrop:

Any chance of this showing up in the Plug-in store? I like the idea of it but I also have trouble keeping individually installed plug-ins up to date.

Do you have the enhanced home screen enabled? It's not compatible with the Spotlight display.

I have a zidoo z9x with Google Play, running the Emby app (regular not "for Android tv") and I don't have the spotlights showing even though it's selected, they just show up as cards. not sure why? it says the version is 3.5.55 and no updates available. is that the most recent version? I also have one feature request. It would be great if single collections could be sorted by "random" like dynamic media can.

Finally all my issues with Emby have been fixed, its been 3 years but its damn near perfect now. Trailers are working correctly and pulling new information. Movie playback is smooth and remote access is great with tailscale. My empty genres issue was resolved with the 4.10 update. Thank you some much. Everything is perfect except one issue now I cant duplicate, it just happens randomly. I'll be browsing movies or tv shows and I'll click an title to find more information, but sometime when I back out it will take me to the top of list. It doesn't happen often and I cant duplicate it or make it happen from doing stuff on my own. Some days it never happens then others it happens a few times a day. Anyway thanks guys and Luke for the support over this few years trying to get me moved over from plex, this program / service is much better. I'm just nit picking at this point everything that matters is working great now.

You have separate library settings for NFO Reader and NFO Saver - behavior will follow your selection.

Is it correct the Emby only pulls from an nfo file and never writes edits back to it? I see if I change the season and episode number in an nfo the change will show up in Emby. But if I paste in an episode Overview to the Emby metadata, it will not add to the nfo.

I've just upgraded to Emby 4.10.0.40 and I'm still having issues with item 2 above where albums don't show up for restricted users. My workaround has been to add all the tracks to a playlist but that's really not ideal as it blows up the number of playlists that I have. As always please let me know if there is anything I can do to help resolve the issue. I will buy another lifetime membership when this gets resolved. Thanks again for all your help! HS

Hi, I've upgraded from 4.9.5.0 --> 4.10.0.40, yesterday, 9/19. I have (had?) lots of custom parental ratings on my music collection, these all appear to have been wiped out during the upgrade. I noted because I use parental ratings artist, album and song level to allow one of my users to enjoy music. After the upgrade the user could no longer see ANY music, so I checked the parental ratings at the album and song level and they were gone. The artist level ratings were intact for some reason (ratings at this level don't seem to do anything). The user in question has "Block items with no or unrecognized rating information" enabled for all libraries. I'm running Debian 13 (trixie) with all the latest patches. I have all my libraries mounted via read only NFS shares (I didn't want the media to be inadvertently deleted by the users). I also have backups going back 10 days, so I have a database backup from 9/19 before the upgrade. It's quite a bit of work to put these ratings back since there are no really good ways (that I'm aware of) to multi select tracks or albums and edits the parental rating. Two questions, 1) Is it possible to restore this information from the backup I have? 2) Is there a way to avoid this loss in future upgrades? Thanks in advance, HS

Maybe you don't wish too, or its not possible, but do you think its doable to get the new Emby spotlight / add your own rows thing working ( assuming I haven't just missed it entirely) ?
