Playback on Roku only sometimes skips back a few seconds then resumes
davesurfer replied to Gilgamesh_48's topic in Roku
I know this is over a year since you posted last, but for me this problem is still happening. To answer your comment about having nothing to compare it to, it is Emby-related though, because the Roku app and other streaming apps don't do this. Just watched hours of Olympics on Roku streaming apps without any audio/video rewind hiccups. -

Thanks for the tip, I did change this, and it might've decreased the frequency a bit, but not enough to really notice. It's still annoying when it happens, which is usually at least once or twice a TV episode length. I'm not sure if this is just a Roku app thing or not, because I rarely watch stream Emby on the web or mobile apps.

@soderlund91do you currently use the Smart Playlists 2.0 plug-in? I was just wondering if you were familiar with the type of rules (filtering) it provides? My guess is you probably aren't wanting to mimic it's filtering options but it may give you some ideas what folks are interested in.

Is it transcoding? -
alexdchandler started following Apple TV Remove From Playlist button not working

After watching a movie in our "Watch Later" playlist, we press and hold and click remove from playlist from the drop down. This doesn't remove it from the list, I later have to log on from my computer to remove the movie. Notably, we just switched from using Favorites as Watch Later, to using a playlist (so we could actually favorite movies), we wish there was a identical feature to favorites for things you want to save to watch later as it is much more convenient than playlists. But we are making due for now, just that one remove bug prevents it from working seemlessly. Let me know if any more details would help, thanks!

SRT subtitles not displaying, other unknown subtitles are displaying
davesurfer replied to davesurfer's topic in Roku
It was showing a subtitles for hearing impaired or something, like sound effects "ELECTRICAL HUMMING" etc. and then not showing the foreign subtitles that I added in there. It was just saying "(SPEAKING YAUTJA)" -

kaledi started following Fire tv stick and hybrid hdr10+/DV files now work?

Has something changed with emby as I've just tried a few hybrid hdr10+/dv mkv files and they play fine. Previously, you'd get the pink screen. Anyone know what has changed?

Plugin: Home Screen Companion (formerly AutoTag)
soderlund91 replied to soderlund91's topic in Plugins
I don't want to say no, but.. Maybe down the line, we will se. I'm having another kid on the way so not sure how much time i will have in the future for big improvements. I'm surely not gonna develop at this rapid pace as I have been doing for the last weeks, damn I have put down almost all my free hours on this for the last month It started out with a simple script and then i thought, "wouldn't it be nice to make this into a plugin?". So yeah, I don't want to say no, but not right now. If you can, pls create an issue at the github page. It's a lot easier to keep track of everything then https://github.com/soderlund91/HomeScreenCompanion/issues -
Guide Channels Missing USA-OTA36801 Columbus, GA
martincom replied to martincom's topic in Emby Provided Guide Data
We're about equal distant from Atlanta and Columbus, GA. Occasionally, we also have reception for the Birmingham stations. So when I set this up three years ago, I installed three guide data sources: USA 36801, USA 30301 & USA 35005. In this manner, I would guide data for all the channels we received, even though a number were inconsistently. It was three years ago, but I'm thinking I left USA 36855 out intentionally because of overlap. I utilized 36801 instead. I can't remember the specific issue that drove me to utilize 36801, but it wouldn't be an issue for to change to 36855. USA 36863 maybe a better fit, however. -

One thing that I've been dreaming for is generation of playlists based on playcounts or watchtime for all users on the server. Things like "Most watched this week/month" "Or Tending on his sever" types of playlists. There is another project Aperture that does this already and the Dev does plan to include some feature that Home Screen Companion already has. There is something nice about having a native plugin like HSC to keep things simple. Anyways I'm not aware of a way to track playcounts and playtime across users natively in Emby. All current solutions manage this through a secondary database. It would be amazing if HSC had a way to tie into though existing metrics to levage user data. Potential options: Utilize the Playback Reporting plugin database https://github.com/faush01/playback_reporting Access stats Jellystat via its API https://github.com/CyferShepard/Jellystat Access stats through Tracerr via its API https://github.com/connorgallopo/Tracearr Have HSC collect stats and manage its on db

Oh no! Come on Luke, there's no way I can get an updated copy of the Cinema Intros DLL you gave me before?
