xifnitsuj started following Emby server won't detect new items in TV shows library
-
my tv shows library on emby server will not pick up new items in the libraries directory. Scandisk, Result was no issues found. Plenty of diskspace free 7 of21 tb, no errors or warnings from emby that the scan task failed failed. real time monitoring is ON already. I forced many (dozens ) of manual scan, no impact. antivirus is not blocking access. As a last ditch effort to fix this, I deleted the TV Shows library and recreated it. This did not work either. Now, the library has NO items being found, when previously it had almost all items with the exception of new items not being detected. none are detected now. embyserver.txt

That's not what we see in you screenshots. Can you tell us which of those folders you pointed the library to?
-
Hi. What do you mean by "Emby member"? Your server users are yours and you are in complete control of them.

Works when I downloaded it as an m3u file but I was hoping to keep using the http url so it stays up to date without having to continuously download to update.when I use the http I get an error.

@soderlundThanks for the analysis above. It made the use of all users and any user clear. Have you included an any user parameter?

playback is often paused, crashes, freezes but for a specific user (its the wife-BIG problem :))
Zeltak replied to Zeltak's topic in MacOS
hi @Lukesadly no. would really like help in resolving this as i got the life time license and my wife cant use it... one other thing, she has been using it via infuse (using emby as the media server) for the last 30-4 days and it works flawlessly, so it surley is the emby app on on both the appleTV and mac (both in different rooms, same netowrk) thx Z -
Hallo zusammen, Aktuell habe ich immer noch die selbe IP Adresse.

You mean the UI not updating? All. The. Time. But not this "new derivative".

Okay, I understand what you want to accomplish. Lets break it down and see if we can get down to the point, my answers in bold. First lets clarify what "Last played" is. A movie gets a played status when a user has seen 2-100% of that movie (default Emby setting). In other words, the user has to have seen part of that movie, or completed it for the flag to be set. When we add last played, we sort these played status into a list based of time. Last Played, All Users, > 1095 This will give you: All movies EVERYONE have started to play for more than 3 years ago. If you have a lot of users, this is very unlikely, or you will only get a handful of hits. I believe the issue is in the "All Users". When you are using "All user" it means that every user need to have set that played status for that specific movie. For example lets use Batman. The watch status of the users is like this: John: 99% Maria: 45% Donald: 8% Then you will have a hit and Batman should end up in your list. If it's like this: John: 99% Maria: 45% Donald: 0% Then Donald will break the rule, as it has not been played by all users, and you will have zero hits. Unwatched, All Users AND Date Added > 1095 This will give you: All movies that NO ONE has completed, and where added to the library more than 3 years ago. If it's like this: John: 99% Maria: 45% Donald: 8% Then John will break the rule, and Batman will not get added. If it's like this: John: 0% Maria: 45% Donald: 8% Then you will get a hit because no one has finished that movie. I think i understand what you want to accomplish, here are a few examples Last played, Any User, >1095 AND NOT Last played, any user, <1095 This will give you a move that at least one user watched 3, 5 or 15 years ago, but no one have seen it in the past 3 years. Could be good for "there has been interest in this movie, but that was a long time ago. Lets resurface" NOT Last played, any user, <1095 This will give you all movies that no one has seen in the latest 3 years. Does this answer your questions?

Yes useless same problem with embedded subs

You might be able to do it via reverse proxy filtering some how. Bet some one in here will know.

Intermittent "No Compatible Streams..." Error (STRM files)
sundevil67 replied to sundevil67's topic in Web App
Unlikely I'm afraid. Their technical support staff isn't very technical. It does appear to change in frequency depending on the platform. Samsung TV it almost never works, Amazon Fire 70%, Web browser about the same. It's a bummer for sure, but there may just not be anything I can do about it. -
Do you know if is on the roadmap in the near future? To me it seems like common sense to have the HTML dashboard access separate from the user app access If its not on the roadmap, how about a simple switch under the Network Settings: Disable HTML access to all non admin users (Yes/No)

Actually, I thought Emby Connect would work, but it doesn't. In the past I got it working on my mobile phone (not on WI-FI, only mobile data) by entering the WAN IP address of Emby Server. Now that doesn't work anymore.

Particular movie file - audio coming from rear speakers
visproduction replied to oceanclub's topic in Samsung Smart TV
OC, Check the speaker connection. I can imagine that rear speakers might be interchanged with front speakers somewhere along the connectors. On a full surround playback, you might not notice because most dialog is sent to the center channel, music front left and right and back channels are delay echo or actual recording of mics facing backwards during shooting. If surround gets mixed down to stereo and the back speakers are getting front left and right, you would get speech weighted to the back speakers, exactly matching your description. During nomal full surround playback, the center would get the dialogue and you would maybe not even notice that most music is coming from the rear, when it should be in the front. -
Emby Connect, what kind of black magic is this?

Where is the tvshow.nfo file getting data from?
Luke replied to Deihmos's topic in Emby Provided Guide Data
Hi, it could have been guide data, although given the presence of IMDb ids it looks like that example was guide data that got merged with internet metadata. -
We offered to take it over in the past but they said they wanted to handle it.

Right shirt there is no way to do this universally. Blocking via device access will work but it requires some manual effort.
