    Hi, when I install it from the plugin catalog, only a TimeMarkEdit file (without the .dll extension) is placed in the plugin directory. Manual installation works fine.

    Subtitles on rewind

    I thought of something else that may be an issue, or at least a special case that needs to be handled. Suppose a video has forced subtitles, for foreign dialogue and such. Those are typically the default sub and should already be on. In this scenario, instead of turning on subtitles, it should switch from English (forced) to English.

  10. Hello. Inexperienced poster so please excuse any mistakes. I encountered a problem while managing collections, and I don't know if I encountered a really bad bug or some weird one-off mishap. Here's what happened: I created a collection to group two tv series together only to discover tvdb already treats the two series as one. So I deleted the collection: I clicked the three dot in the lower corner of the collection poster and select "Delete". All of this occurred through the webapp (on Chrome). Admittedly I probably should have emptied the collection first, but considering the result it didn't seem like it would've mattered. The moment I clicked "Delete" I could see activities in the media folder. But here's the thing, it didn't delete the videos in the collection. It deleted everything else. All movies, series, videos that weren't in the collection --basically everything but those two series-- were deleted. Luckily I have backups and snapshots so I shouldn't have lost much. Still, this seems really, really bad. Firstly, did I use the wrong method to delete a collection and should I have emptied it first? Secondly, even if that was the wrong method what I actually did still shouldn't have led to the server deleting everything but the collection. So what happened and how do I prevent it from happening again? I've included the emby server log from around the time this happened: I found the part where everything was working normally, I can see it creating a collection, deleting a collection, then missing media errors. Doesn't say anything that I can discern as useful. I did also check if I had somehow inadvertently deleted it myself, but had that happened the deleted files would've been moved to the network recycle bin and they didn't Emby server running on Win 11. Version 4.9.1, so not the latest. Media stored on QNAP nas. embyserver.txt

Hi Luke, I agree I can see them in the guide, but that means scrolling through 14 days of shows across many channels to find the ones marked as Premiere (and they are the same colour as new so that makes it a bit harder even). If the suggestions had a separate row for premiers (not mixed into the many new episodes) that would be great as well, but as it is, that’s not easy finding it in the “new episode” section as there is no indication of a new episode be a programs premier (I just tried and I have at least 50+ new episodes in that row and maybe a premiere is mixed in?) thanks for the consideration.   13. Hi, that's not actually why the TranscodingMaxAudioChannels param was added, so it is currently behaving as designed (although the sync issue is not good). The reason this param was added was to make sure that if we are already transcoding audio, to ensure that we are not transcoding to a channel count that doesn't make sense. But at the same time, to not cause any unnecessary transcoding. So that's why it is only checked when transcoding is already occurring, and why it is named as such.
  14. Hi, a couple options already exist: Turn on the indicators in the guide and turn off others that you don't want to see. This will allow you to scroll quickly through the guide and visualize them. Use the New Episodes section on the Suggestions tab

    Subtitles on rewind

    HI, yes I really like this idea and want to add this. The problem is that sometimes turning subtitles on or off requires the whole video stream to be changed, so doing that would not be as seamless as how you are envisioning. What we could do is add an option to do it only when it doesn't require a video stream change, and that will work just fine. But then the problem there is that when it doesn't happen, it may leave you wondering why if you've forgotten about that detail.

  20. I guess the question is whether you think of specials as a season or not. I mean yes we use Season 0 for file naming, but is that what they actually are?

    Problems searching for movies

    I hadn't accessed or added new movies to my server for a while. This week, I downloaded a new movie, and the search function threw up errors. I tried to fix it using ChatGPT but couldn't. ChatGPT suggested the issue was caused by how I had grouped movie collections into subfolders—sometimes putting sequels together in the same folder (e.g., *Die Hard*, *Die Hard 2*, etc.). However, I used to do this without any problems. I went to a lot of trouble moving them into separate folders, but that didn't fix it. When searching for the movies, the log reports an error... What happened? What changed?
