It gives the same error. I'll stick with version 2.2.8 of the TV software, which works. I've installed and uninstalled it many times, and with different versions, and it's still the same. Whatever the problem is, if I ever format my PC or uninstall and reinstall Emby and it still gives me the same issue, I'll let you know. But for now, the only thing I can see clearly is that videos with external subtitles, whether .srt or .ass files, cause problems. Thanks to everyone for your help.

This plugin depends that emby hold intromarkers on the series. If emby doesn't have intros for it, the plugin skips it. But that is certainly fixable. ChapterAPI lets you create IntroStart and IntroEnd markers, which is exactly what my plugin looks for. This way you could even make them for movies, just set IntroStart/IntroEnd markers with ChapterAPI. For Movies you could use that trick to get favorite scenes as Backdrops.

Great! I use Powershell scripts available at the moment but a plugin would off course be much better. Discovered one thing now, when running it on a new folder (Documentary series) that it skippes ceratain series folders. I have deleted all backdrop and trailer folders in each series folders and ran it again, but it skippes same series again, any tips for troubleshooting on my end? Im guessing folder structure isnt the issue since its all the same structure and some gets added properly Thanx!

That is something I am already experimenting with. The problem, a move has no markers for intros. Only maybe chapters. It would be either something like, generate a random 110sec clip or scan for Chapters and for scenes with high average bitrates, which suggests heavy action scenes.

" For me, the issue only occurs in the Emby for Android TV app. By the way, it also happens on other Android TV devices, so it's not just a problem for me.

I updated already, for playback i changed it to infuse, my patient with Emby playback via AppleTv was gone.

Since your machine is older, xTeVe might be choking on that massive XtremeHD playlist. You might want to try Threadfin (it's a lighter, updated fork of xTeVe) or pre-filter your M3U list before it hits your server to save resources. I actually do a lot of IPTV optimization on my platform and dropping the playlist size always saves the CPU Would love to hear how it goes. Good luck getting it sorted!"

Hi, when I install it from the plugin catalog, only a TimeMarkEdit file (without the .dll extension) is placed in the plugin directory. Manual installation works fine.

I thought of something else that may be an issue, or at least a special case that needs to be handled. Suppose a video has forced subtitles, for foreign dialogue and such. Those are typically the default sub and should already be on. In this scenario, instead of turning on subtitles, it should switch from English (forced) to English.

Just a minor pain point for me is why I raised it as a FR. Emby is a great product and I appreciate the replies. thanks again!

Hello. Inexperienced poster so please excuse any mistakes. I encountered a problem while managing collections, and I don't know if I encountered a really bad bug or some weird one-off mishap. Here's what happened: I created a collection to group two tv series together only to discover tvdb already treats the two series as one. So I deleted the collection: I clicked the three dot in the lower corner of the collection poster and select "Delete". All of this occurred through the webapp (on Chrome). Admittedly I probably should have emptied the collection first, but considering the result it didn't seem like it would've mattered. The moment I clicked "Delete" I could see activities in the media folder. But here's the thing, it didn't delete the videos in the collection. It deleted everything else. All movies, series, videos that weren't in the collection --basically everything but those two series-- were deleted. Luckily I have backups and snapshots so I shouldn't have lost much. Still, this seems really, really bad. Firstly, did I use the wrong method to delete a collection and should I have emptied it first? Secondly, even if that was the wrong method what I actually did still shouldn't have led to the server deleting everything but the collection. So what happened and how do I prevent it from happening again? I've included the emby server log from around the time this happened: I found the part where everything was working normally, I can see it creating a collection, deleting a collection, then missing media errors. Doesn't say anything that I can discern as useful. I did also check if I had somehow inadvertently deleted it myself, but had that happened the deleted files would've been moved to the network recycle bin and they didn't Emby server running on Win 11. Version 4.9.1, so not the latest. Media stored on QNAP nas. embyserver.txt

Hi Luke, I agree I can see them in the guide, but that means scrolling through 14 days of shows across many channels to find the ones marked as Premiere (and they are the same colour as new so that makes it a bit harder even). If the suggestions had a separate row for premiers (not mixed into the many new episodes) that would be great as well, but as it is, that’s not easy finding it in the “new episode” section as there is no indication of a new episode be a programs premier (I just tried and I have at least 50+ new episodes in that row and maybe a premiere is mixed in?) thanks for the consideration.
