I still don't get what is so impressive about Omarchy. Other than the authors' notoriety there is nothing truly unique about it. It's Arch with Hyprland and AI agent integration and opinionated configuration (dotfiles). If anyone other than DHH had published github.com/randomlinuxguy/my-hyprland-dots , I doubt it would be as big of a deal. Me personally I wouldn't trust an AI agent to make system changes unless very carefully sandboxed. But I get the allure when transitioning away from Windows to Linux and needing help. Workflow on tiling window managers is vastly different than the Windows paradigm. That being said, I am glad it is getting enough attention to attract new users to Linux. And hopefully in time those users come around to making the desktop environment or shell more personalized themselves and truly appreciate the privacy and lack of advertising in their OS. Now, to your post about your library, this is precisely why many people prefer to keep data in their media folders (NFO files, artwork, .actors, ...) instead of the server handling their metadata scraping. If my emby server died tomorrow, I could install it on a new machine, point it at my library, do a scan, and everything would be pretty much how it was before. If you allow the server to re-scrape all data from online sources, you will get that data right OR wrong. It's so incredibly common to have IMDb/TMDB/TVDB with incorrect information or simiarly named actors merged or jumbled. IMDb generally has the most accurate data, but they also disabled scraping from many applications. This whole situation is why I had to make AgentNFO so I could correct my actors and their images.

You should be able to access them from the sidebar too.

Hi, my Emby Server was working normally yesterday, but today I can’t connect to it from my iPhone or Mac. The server address is 192.168.1.100:8096. I get the error “Unable to Reach Server”. Could you please help me figure out why the server is no longer reachable? Thank you.

I don't have a point from when the problem occurred, I can only assume it has never worked, I've always had all libraries selected and it's never been there. I have a log from doing a fresh restart of the server and then immediately performing a full library scan. For shits n giggles I just created a new user and playlists does appear on the home screen for that user, so it's something to do with my main admin user account. embyserver.txt

Thank you. I opened Emby in my phone 2 days later and it and continued the process. I just let it run to get cleared but it took at least 20 seconds per episode to attempt the download, mark as failed and then progress to the next episode for the same thing. Queued downloads behind the canceled ones downloaded fine. Not ideal when it has to work through about 80 files

It would be great to have the ability to move a series to the first position in the Continue Watching section. Sometimes a series goes a year or more without releasing new episodes. When new episodes finally come out, the series can be buried at the end of the Continue Watching list. You might notice it once, plan to watch it later, and then completely forget about it. It would be useful if the context menu for a series included options such as “Add to Watchlist” and “Move to First Position in Watchlist.” This would essentially let you pin a series to the front of the list as a reminder that you want to come back to it.

Here is my immich plugin (source code + plugin-binary) I created this plugin, since my TV is too old for an immich client, and an emby plugin was the easiest to watch photos/video from immich. Vibe-coded, but it works surprisingly well for me. I'm not going to maintain the plugin; Feel free to do whatever you like with this project. I wish plugins could set a "default" view option. Currently there is "title" and "year" selected. It just looks better without anything... however one must change this for every Album manually. emby-immich-photoviewer.zip

Can't see how, in the dynamic media selection there's only choice between Movies and TV Shows (and a bunch of other kind of media), I tried selecting either one and just adding both libraries but it only displays the chosen type, ignoring the other library... Maybe I'm missing something

I think the difference may be the SQLite version. Yep I agree, the popup is too in your face. I dont mind it so much on mobile, but on TV it's very jarring.

Just wanted to post an update - this database change back to stock 128MB seems to have sorted the issue. Not seem not than 5GB as yet, and took a long time to get to that. Will monitor for a few days more but all looking promising for me to drop this ram limit back to 8, or maybe 12 in the meantime. I have re-enabled jellyseer (seerr now), and Jellystat yesterday too. I am not bothering with any of the others. My library scans seem to take less than 3 minutes, and they are kicked off by the sonarr and radarr notification setup to an emby API.

@soderlundI am having an issue with HSC deleting tags it no longer uses, I have completely removed the source that used them from HSC but if I try to use them manually, next scheduled clean-up HSC still deletes them citing '– Tag "Recently Upgraded" removed from 1 item (its group is deleted or disabled) Why is it removing tags from something it no longer controls?? It shouldn't be removing tags from deleted groups as it no longer has control over that tag, it seems i can never use that tag again because HSC just deletes it.
