[Tool] MediaFixer – Clean up your video's audio tracks & fix language flags
yocker replied to benris's topic in Tools and Utilities
Looking at the screenshots. Is there a limiter so that remuxing/multiplex wont take all CPU/Transcoding power and preventing videos from playing for users? -

[Tool] MediaFixer – Clean up your video's audio tracks & fix language flags
benris posted a topic in Tools and Utilities
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a small tool I developed (with some help of AI ) to help organize the audio tracks in my media collection before adding them to Emby. I thought it might be useful for others here as well. MediaFixer is a lightweight desktop tool designed specifically for cleaning up audio tracks within video containers (like MKV or MP4). Please note: This is not for editing standalone audio files; it is strictly for patching the audio streams inside your video files. Why use it? If you are tired of seeing "Unknown" language flags in Emby, dealing with incompatible audio codecs that trigger unnecessary transcoding, or seeing messy track titles (like "Encoded by..."), this tool is built to fix those issues. Key Features: Fix Language Flags: Batch-apply the correct language tags (e.g., German, English) to entire seasons or folders so Emby automatically selects the right track. Bulk Audio Patching: Convert audio tracks in a folder to a specific codec (AC3, AAC, MP3), change bitrates, or force a stereo downmix for better compatibility with your client devices. Metadata Scrubbing: Easily rename track titles or completely clear out hidden "handler_name" tags often left behind by encoders. Safe Simulation Mode: The tool includes a detailed simulation mode that previews every planned change before a single byte is written to your drive. Easy Setup: No need to manually install FFmpeg or mess with terminal paths. On Windows, the built-in setup wizard can automatically download the required portable binaries for you. The UI supports both English and German natively and features a simple dark-mode interface. Screenshots & Download: You can find the source code, further documentation, and pre-compiled binaries for Windows and Linux on GitHub. There is a /screenshots folder in the repository if you want to see the UI in action. GitHub Link: https://github.com/sirbenris/MediaFixer The application is built on Python and utilizes FFmpeg and MediaInfo for processing. Since I used PyInstaller for the standalone executables, Windows Defender might flag it as "unrecognized" (a common false positive for unsigned Python tools), but the code is fully open-source for your inspection. I hope this helps some of you keep your libraries a bit cleaner. I’d love to hear your feedback or any suggestions for future features! Best regards, Benny (benris) - Today

I am having the same experience.

Thank you very much for your work. The theme looks absolutely wonderful, although the CSS code seems overloaded due to the large number of seasonal features. However, it's great that you bring something new to the theme with each update. In this regard, I have a few questions and suggestions that you could perhaps implement in future revisions. 1. Is it possible to restore the background animation as it was in the first revisions? This animation gave the theme more life and looked very stylish. 2. Is there a way to change the opacity of the header? In the default theme, the header background was gray. Now, when you scroll the page, the buttons and logos overlap other elements. 3. Is there a way to change the display of the seasons? So that they are displayed in a single line instead of a drop-down list? Otherwise, I rely on your ideas and solutions. Thank you very much again.

Do you have any forthcoming airings with multi-part episodes to confirm the fix in 4.10.0.9?

wow! I'm flabbergasted it worked... I just signed out then back in again and now the beta shows up in play store....... sorry for wasting ppls time!
-
ok this is odd, I forgot I had a 2nd shield and it actually appeared for that account? is there something wrong with the shield 2019? I'm now thinking of signing out then back in again to see if it picks it up like my other shield did?

@Max076We already bundle the intel drivers in the snap packages. I'll give it a go when I get home.

Hello everyone, yes, all my equipments are on the same network, linked with switchs & cable (which goes from my study to the living room via the basement) - except the mobile phones. - study : box - PC - NAS (I put it here because it's quite noisy...) - living room : TV - amplifier - shield - BD player - videoprojector As i said, from times to times, the music stops, sometimes starts again seconds or minutes later, and i can't see a whole movie anymore without the image freezing, then with a black screen, and when i'm lucky, i can have the kodi interface again & restarts the movie - and i'm not, that means the shield is blocked and i have to reboot it. i attach 2 emby server logfiles & the screenshot with the message appearing sometimes regards embyserver.txt embyserver4.txt

Has Anyone Integrated AI With Emby? Looking for Real-World Tools, Setups & Dev Plans
dexus replied to Airbender's topic in Tools and Utilities
Isn't it though I'm glad my project could help. It is working great, in its current iteration. Got some small issues fixed. Using deepseek chat, with 8k token window specified in the llm stage makes it very fast, and cheap, but also very consistent. I have done comparisons where i stripped original subtitles from an episode, comparing it to a generated one from that same episode, and now my transcribe project produces subtitles 93-95% similar to the original, which honestly is more than i could hoped for. -

Hi, what version number of the android app do you have?
-
You have to go to the items tagged with those genres and update them as you wish. The genre cleaner plugin can also help with this.
-
Whoa, this is amazing! Going to help me a lot with my family now that I'm finally migrating from Plex to Emby. Thank you so much for sharing your work!

OK does the authentication event appear in the server dashboard activity log? -
Hi, exactly what is incorrect?
-
Thanks for the feedback.
-
That does not appear to be following naming requirements. For example, you do not have a The Mutant Watch.mkv

Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.

embyforkodi (next-gen) 12.X.X support
quickmic replied to quickmic's topic in Emby For Kodi Next Gen
I checked again the LiveTV Play/stop and works fine in my setup. Can you please provide me with a kodi log for review, thanks. Probably a Kodi debug log is required (please send me debug logs only via PM, don't post debug logs in public). Regular logs are save. And keep in mind in 12.X the debug option is located in next gen's plugin menu (advanced). btw, I can only test via Kodi's iptvsimple addon and Emby's m3u tuner. -

I've had this exact same issue recur again now. It seems that this has nothing to do with the tagging of the files and it some kind of weird bug in the way that the files are being read? I have attached some screen shots of an example. The files themselves all contain tags that are inconsistent with those that have been imported into the library. If I manually edit the tags in the metadata manager then scan the library nothing changes. If I refresh the metadata then it reverts the tags back to the incorrect tags in the screenshots. If the folder is renamed to a different name then you hit 'refresh metadata' on the parent folder then everything shows up perfectly. Then you can rename the folder back to the original name and refresh it again and everything will again be perfect. I do not understand what is causing it to pull in the initial data incorrectly (perhaps because it is scanning the files while it is being downloaded?) but more troubling why the 'refresh metadata' actually seems to do absolutely nothing to correct the issue until the folder is renamed.
