Rather than just thinking about it, I tried to see if I could actually make it for real - image below is rough webpage made by fetching an Artist's albums from the Emby API and grouping them according to user-defined "release type" tags. The styling is just placeholder and I guess I'll be finessing the Sections once I try some more Artists, but at least this proves the grouping can be done. The goal though is to have this Discography view (and a Timeline/Decades view) integrated into Emby - that could be the difficult part???

Updates: Spinner Fix: Resolved issues with multicolored loading spinners. Media Badges: Refined the styling of media pop-out badges; the pop-out style is now set as the default. Visual Cleanup: Removed glow effects from seasonal media card hover effects to improve UI consistency. Code Refactoring: Successfully migrated all hard-coded colors to CSS variables for easier customization. SVG Rendering: Resolved image encoding issues to ensure SVG assets display correctly in Firefox. Firefox Compatibility: Added a critical notice regarding Firefox compatibility above the seasonal toggles. To maintain a pure-CSS approach and avoid JavaScript or index file edits, certain container statements must be commented out until a native CSS workaround is identified. BROWSER COMPATIBILITY NOTE: Firefox does not currently support CSS Style Container Queries (@container style). To enable seasonal themes for Firefox, you must manually comment out the @container wrapper line and its corresponding closing bracket within the seasonal CSS section. So, unless there's some big issue I find, or request; I'm pretty happy with the state of the theme. the @container() compatibility issue I think will resolve itself in time. It is sort of a bleeding edge feature. Enjoy! Emby Navy and Gold v3.5.css

Neminem started following Audio remote streaming quality (Mobile) and Emby Vs Plex

I forked the project and modified it, go take a look, it even finds the movies duplicates in files and compare year and movies tvdb https://github.com/theoneakta/emby-tvdb-dupe-finder

Ah... That's a shame. It would be the best option to strike the best balance. Thanks for clarifying!

whats the best way to connect to a server for an emby account
-
Try setting the other remote to 192 kbps.

The Anime naming is also intentional, unfortunately. Plex supports collections nested in their library, eg Shows -> Action and Movies -> Action. Emby only has library wide collections, meaning there will be only one Action collection as the layer collection will overwrite the first one without separate names. That's why I've added a library your icon and the library name to the collection. This ensures that those collections keep sorted by type and library in collection view. It was the best idea I could come up. Will edit this post ina second for the plugin question.

Any statement I've raised quite a few issues here over the last year about playing YouTube videos through the TV and other things, as well as music videos and other things I haven't raised yet at all It's not ideal but 95% of my concerns could be worked around if you would put links on the Google TV UI. These are links that already show up in the Android app at the very bottom of an item. They just don't appear on Google TV at all. Through the use of plugins that allow you to define custom links, I would have a workaround for a lot of my concerns. I'm quite happy for this to be disabled by default and then opted in by the users that would actually use it if links on the user interface were annoying to some. Please consider this for the next release. I can't imagine this logic being anything other than an if statement on what client hardware is - phone versus TV. Thanksin advance and keep up the awesome work!

jdsizzlestix started following Auto tone mapping
-
I feel like this subject has been touched on so many time but i cant find an actual answer to it. I can force tone mapping by forcing transcoding, but for some reason Emby will not detect a non hdr device and auto tone map. Tried this today on a apple tv, set to 4k SDR and played my hdr content. All i was getting was direct play, no tone mapping at all. Really frusterating

Yes I have installed the apk for the server.

Emby for Android 3.5.28 will not play songs -- just skips over them all.
lomography replied to lomography's topic in Linux
I should also mention, I'm running Emby for Android 3.5.28 on my Moto G50 without issue. So it looks like it may be an issue just with the tablet. I was heavily invested in JRiver for years. Emby is sooo much better. I really want this to work. -
[BUG] In version 4.9.3.0, “.chi” subtitles is recognized as ‘Chinese’ rather than “Chinese Simplified”
chuwz replied to chuwz's topic in General/Windows
Hahaha, I see. So that’s how it is—that’s really interesting. Also, I’ve already changed all the subtitles from .chi to .zh, so let’s just leave it as is for now. Thanks, developers! By the way, could you please show me that post about “many Chinese users complaining about .chi”? I’d really like to see what they’re saying. -
HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !
-
Hi, so you installed the server software onto the Shield?
-
Tested and this works just fine, as does scan metadata folder scheduled task.

Hi, several other Chinese users complained about this behavior, so that's why it was changed. -

Running Emby for Android 3.5.28 on a Tabwee T90 Android 16 tablet. Emby server 4.9.30 running on my Raspberry Pi 5 NAS. When it works, it works great. But lately, can't get it to work at all. It's always been iffy. I choose a folder, click on shuffle. No error message, but all the titles appear in the bottom bar. They just flash by, it skips through all the songs in the directory, one-by-one without playing any and then just stops. Very frustrating. Tried restarting server, de-and-re Emby for Android, clear cache, start/stop app. I've tried googling and perusing the forum for several weeks before opening a ticket, but can't seem to find others with the same problem. I should mention, I also run Emby for Firestick on my four TVs and they work like a dream. Also running Emby Windows 2.234.2.0 on several Windows computers. It's just the Android on the Tablet that has never worked properly. Any help would be appreciated. -
Please add support for Android Automotive

Members may have to donate the cash so the dev team can own an Android Automotive Car, so they have something to work on heh. -
Hello, I’ve been using Emby 4.8.10.0, which is a version from a year ago. It’s been working fine for me, so I haven’t upgraded. In this version, .chi subtitles are recognized as “Chinese Simplified,” which is great. Today I upgraded my Emby Server to 4.9.3.0, and I noticed that my .chi subtitles, which used to be recognized as “Chinese Simplified,” are now all being recognized as “Chinese.” As soon as I rolled back to the old version, the .chi files were successfully recognized as “Chinese Simplified” again! So I can confirm that this is caused by the new version But I’m not sure if this is a design change on your part or a recognition bug… If it’s a bug, I hope you can fix this issue as soon as possible!

Hi I have an issue with Emby windows wont download movies or TV series its stuck in ready to transfer, it completed the conversions, i have tried to change download quality to keep original and it just stays ready to transfer, i have checked the BITS manager and it shows transient error, tried to clear the job list to restart it made no difference, i have checked the firewall settings and even turned it off temporarily to confirm it wasnt blocking it. i cant run the app as admin it wont allow it, from some research its to do with the windows store apps. it works fine on my android phone when i download so its not a server issue. embyserver (1).txt
