Command - Alexa Pause (during a playlist playing) Response - [audio stops] Command - Alexa Resume (Also tried Alexa ask ear wax resume) "Please use the the play commands for available options ask ear......." Command - Alexa Next Response - [alexa plays the next track in the playlist]..proving that the paused session is still available to a large extent. Might it be possible for "resume" to resume the playback from where it left off.? Edit ooh thats odd..I tried "alexa next" from another echo A which was paused playing playlist A....on echo B playing a playlist B. played switched track to the next track from playlist A (from echo A)...cross contamination..... Given that each room might be having its own session (album on top floor, playlist on bottom) this sounds 'dangerous' (although potentially useful for some sort of multi room use case when used intentionally).

What criteria/tags determine if an album is listed under Albums as Contributing Artists? I have a lot split LPs and 7"s, that are appearing under Albums and I would prefer them to be under Albums as Contributing Artist, in the same way compilations work.

I am still having an issue with the trailers for TV shows on a per season level. do I need to name them anything specific, I know for the movies they need to be named specifically. But for TV shows I've always just put them in the folder we've never bothered to name them anything in particular. As long as I put the folder in the main series folder I see trailers on the series page but if I put the trailers folder in the season folder I don't see any trailers at all for the TV series or season.

I couldn't find an explicit Emby API to trigger that. If they do add it, then I will absolutely incorporate it's use

Damm! I thought my library was large with about 160k movies and episodes You could bump up the simultaneous scan, but be carefull you don’t get rate limited, especially if it’s from an IPTV provider. I would go with 3, maybe 4 if that is the case.

Yup working. Its very impressive but assuming you don't JUST want a pat on back .... I think the focus needs to be on anything that can make requests reliable where possible and ergonomic to rectify. The Alexa environment doesnt seem to help (as you say it is very time sensitive for one), maybe API improvements (to be requested) or a helper plugin can help drive things forward. Somethings would require alot of coding complexity and cleverness to resolve i suspect like special characters and numbers (is that 21 or twenty one), maybe the alexa environment just isnt up to that. unfortunately tracknames and artistnames are inherently 'difficult' in this regard. I sometimes get the impression Alexa voice recognition is sometimes helpful and context aware...sometimes Alexa seems to hear 'thee' rather than 'the' (correctly)..maybe there are ways to leverage this cleverness to aid detection more accurately/frequently in the way commands are structured. (maybe being a formal music service would make voice recognition for music more reliable who knows) If the skill could be presented as a music service then switching away from amazon music to the skill would save a multitude of tedious misfires against amazon music. Its great when a match isnt found, the skill stays open waiting for a correction. Having to specify artist and trackname, makes playing tracks more difficult because you have to get both [interpreted] right. Maybe somesort of fuzzy matching ? maybe some sort of holding stream to give the skill time to be more clever? Maybe one has to be realistic and track detection wont ever be 95%+, maybe playlists and albums and artists is what is realistic to achieve and for that Ear Wax is working very well. My two main use cases are playlists and individual tracks (that in the moment i just want to play).

@Luke The chromecast play was started but the movie kept playing on the phone. It was playing both on the CC and on the phone. I stopped the cast to the CC and killed the Emby app on the Pixel, but apparently it's still playing according to the server.

Yes I am not sure how to setup Advanced Settings, but setting it as Yes seems to be working just fine as videos are streaming smoothly.

I wish someone with Emby team would just develop an addon like Plex did. I know they don't care because they just want us to use the android app or shield tv, but the issue is Dolby Vision does not work on any of those (or P7 FEL in the Shield TV's Case). Many of us paid lifetime and to be honest, feels like a one and done. No real development in years.

yes i can pm you, but might the json response from the skills api queries above tell you what is going on.. I note the api query for the artist returns multiple artists (but the correct one is indeed first). I note only one song is returned for MTS (and M T S is not the first in Artists node, and certainly not in the Albumartist node at all). I note that this Artist has no album as such, she has one track as member of "artists" on a compilation album, let me know if still needed and i will send a sample of it.
