I checked again and works fine on my setup. Can you please show me a screenshot of your folder structure and send me one of you srt files for review please. Also a screenshot of your subtile settings on Emby server might help.

Hello Everyone, I am happy to announce that there is now a Beta version plugin that will detect credits in TV Shows. I originally posted in tools and utilities however since then I have made several improvements to the plugin. The plugins I posted in the tools and utilities were very early versions of EmbyVision OCR. They do support H264 and HEVC files but the latest version of this plugin now supports AV1 as well with CPU and GPU. I developed the software mostly for myself because of my large av1 library and limited tools available that will detect AV1 files for credits. I decided to share it because it is such a cool development. I realize that this may not be the only credits detector plugin and you are probably wondering, why you should install my version and test it vs the other? Because watching end credits is boring for most! The original docker containers for the tool are on GitHub. Pease see the posts in tools and utilities for information on installation and also there is installation instructions inside the plugin for the CPU and GPU docker containers. They use the same plugin. I have also used them with the original in store plugin for OCR detection. They are on GitHub and they do work with the plugin in the Emby forum however it is recommended to use them with my new plugin as it has been designed to work efficiently with them. This image is the OCR Detection working on AV1 files which is mostly what my library is composed of due to my transcoding them to AV1 with my Tdarr and handbrake method. It's easy to get started. I quite busy and I am not sure how much support I can offer for this plugin but you can find help in the debug logs and they will help you configure the plugin. it runs on Default settings for most servers. You will need docker for this. Feel free to leave comments and post your experiences with the plugin or ask for help, if I can't get to answering in time surely other people will be able to help you if you have questions. Been broken (in the 'stable' build no less) literally for 8 months now. Can't imagine why people would be more interested in the open-source fork.

I’d check the Fire TV client settings first, especially whether Direct Play is being forced despite the bitrate limit. I’ve dealt with similar streaming behavior while working on OnStream, and checking the client, server, and network stats together usually makes it easier to see where the setting is being ignored.

movies is working fine though, only on tv shows.

Ok thanks, so far Ive contributed 22 timestamps. I would love to see Emby add skip recap prompts to fully utilize the information that the IntroDB provides. Thanks for the insight on how this works.

Hmm...the app could have very well restarted in my tests too. The two screens I described above are what I see when I start the latest version of the app.

Please do whatever you need to do to make this work again, my AppleTV used to play AV1 just fine and now since it’s forced to transcode, my miniPC struggles and now I cannot play those videos at all. The entire functionality of playing AV1 is gone from a user perspective when it worked fine for years. An option to enable the setting as it was before would be great. I hope you can add this back please. I’m a little upset the entire functionality was broken and removed and it’s taken more than 6 months for clarification.

I have also seen if you leave it paused and on the screensaver long enough the app basically restarts, but I'm not sure if 10 minutes is enough. I will keep an eye out for that happening since my app logging is enabled, might even be able to get a logcat as well via ADB.

Hey, thanks for submitting! As it’s a volunteer project and we have thousands of submissions to get through, it can take a while to get to your submission. Possibly a couple of months before human eyes see it. The primary way submissions are verified is automatic when another user submits a similar time. As more users submit, the db grows exponentially. You can however use your submission right away by requesting with your API key, as that returns pending submissions with increased weight.

No, I got something different. Tried it 3 times with same result. Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro Server 4.10.0.22 App 3.5.42 - Emby screensaver set to none Open up movie details page Click Run Let movie run for a while Click Pause Android screensaver kicked in after 5 minutes (my Android setting while testing) wait another 5 minutes with no sound Click Up to end screensaver Then the Emby logo flashed Then the black Connect to server screen with the Cancel button flashed real quick Ended back at the Home screen with the first icon selected (will be the movie just watched if you wait long enough for a resume point) Edit: I normally have my Android screensaver set at 2 hours and would probably not have seen the screensaver before when watching movies.

Not fail outright necessarily. I'm asking for the tuner handshake retry to be configurable. A fixed 60-second retry can conflict with upstream recovery and hit stale sessions. Keeping defaults is fine, but a configurable retry interval or fail-fast option would avoid contention while Emby remains the DVR.
