  2. Yes I realise that it's currently not a thing, but it would be nice to prevent Emby from recording discogs/musicbrainz tags in the future.

    Song playlist stops randomly

It's a pretty annoying issue to test. It also happens in the foreground. It doesn't seem to happen after a specific amount of tracks. It's almost like some timeout somewhere. This also occurs no the Android App. A way to prevent this from happening seems to be to every now and then go to "next track" manually. It seems some sort of timeout / inactivity thing though.
  4. Hi, do you store your images in media folders? Do you have nfo files next to your videos?

    New WebStreams Plugin

yeah it just seems to be if you watch from Android tv devices.
  6. HI, we are working on chasing this down. Thanks.

MediaInfo For Emby Plugin(HDR, Vision, Atmos, DTS:X)

Mega random thought here... How about a executable version of this, so one could integrate it into other tools (like tdarr) as well?

    Not sorting music into Albums

Try using mp3tag to edit albumartist to Various Artist. And se if they all fall under "Various Artist" in sted of single artists.

    Not sorting music into Albums

Hello Gilbe2026, ** This is an auto reply ** Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: Thank you. Emby Team

    Not sorting music into Albums

I have lots of Compilations e.g. Now That's What i Call Music 1 - 103 Emby shows Now 1 as 20 albums. Its making a new album for each Artist I want to just see Now 1 as an album, click on it and see 20 tracks Note i have chosen. Perfectly organised into album folders, with tracks directly in the album folders

    Server access problem. Windows11

I ignored the first rule of a home network. When in doubt reboot the router. I was blindsided that everything else was working and Emby server could be accessed by external PC and local Android Tablet. One tends to forget that (in the UK) the routers from BT and Virgin etc are cheap as chips electronics from Taiwan/China etc. Anyway - rebooted router - loaded Emby on Firestick - found my Win11 Server straight away and we are back in business. Not the first time in my 40 years in computing that I missed the obvious.
  14. Narjo does work great for carplay for sure. Can't wait until they add the Apple TV version too. I converted from Cloudbeats which was ok.

Plugin: Home Screen Companion (formerly AutoTag)

I do think "Title" Should be the movie name or the Series name. But I believe there should be a separate filter maybe called "Title (episodes)" that only filters at the episode name level and tags at the episode level. Can you not use the "Title (episodes)" filter to tag and/or add the individual episodes so that it is only them that shows up? I hate to keep bringing up another plugin but the Smart Playlist plugin does a similar thing by adding the individual episodes that match the filter (for example, christmas) to a collection.

Error with videos containing delayed audio in web app

Right. Adding a negative delay to the video file gives the same result of having no audio delay necessary and the video/audio remains in sync. However, I bump into this issue most often when I graft an extra audio track from a DVD or bluray in my collection to a new 4k release that only has english audio. This means the english track has no delay, but the extra track can, depending mostly on what studios appear at the start of each version of a movie. The negative video delay is not an option in this situation. As things are now, my options to play a video on the web app with one such grafted audio track that has a delay is to either start the video with an audio track with no delay(if there is one) until the video passes the delay set on the second audio track and then switch to that track, or, start the video with that second track immediately and seek a minute ahead before the stream crashes with a "No compatible streams are currently available." error.

    Server access problem. Windows11

Just to be sure, is the FStick on the same Wi-Fi network as the tablet? Is there any VPN involved on your network? Can the server ping the tablet and the stick? (I don't know if they would normally respond to ping.)

    About the continue watching widget

The default widget doesn't work for me, as it only shows the content I've already started; it doesn't display subsequent chapters. I managed to create my own, but it only allows me to add TV series or movies, and I'd like to add both at the same time in the same widget. Is that possible?

Error with videos containing delayed audio in web app

Possibly related: https://help.mkvtoolnix.download/t/how-do-i-change-sync-values-manually/556 As shifting by a negative amount will lose you data (Matroska doesn’t allow negative timestamps, therefore all frames will be discarded if their timestamps are negative after the shift), you can also apply the reverse shift to the video track: making it later by 500ms vs. the unmodified audio track.

Asustor 608t will suddenly no longer connect to Emby

Hi. I have an asustor server with all my personal videos on so I purchased emby server so that i could play my home movies on my tv. i had the emby server working absolutely fine when for no apparent reason it stopped connecting to anything. i have managed to connect it to my imac computer fine but it will not connect to my tv any more. i am as green as they get so please forgive me for being a real novice.
  22. Kao, Good points. 4K 60 fps to 4K 30 fps conversion takes a fair amount of CPU or hardware encoder effort. You would be staying to .mkv h.265 video codec plus whatever audio conversion might be needed. Converting down to 1080P 30 fps would take less effort and then your setup could handle more transcoding requests. Also, converting to .mp4 h.264 video is very likely for a lot of end users and it is a faster and easier transcoding, but h.264 is not a good choice to stay in 4K. Can you just record in 1080P and not bother having anything n 4K? That would help with your hard drive and bandwidth issues.
  23. Or maybe a delay until after playback? Why is it validating so many files in the first place? Is it a code for something or is it actually somehow validating 127 thousand playlists? I also have a kodi log of a recent movie that I can send by PM if needed.

I will fix the scaling. Problem is that i forgot both horizontal and vertical are things that exist in this world.
  25. I had Ubuntu 20.04LTS and decided to upgrade. I took 2 steps: 20.04->22.04->24.04. Now I'm on 24.04LTS with a pretty recent kernel: 6.8.0-106-generic. I also upgraded to latest Emby: 4.9.3.0. 26. Just wanted to add.....similar to what Zhask observed, the dropouts do seem to occur more with sports (hockey). It makes me wonder if it has something to do with the frame rates required. I often see 59 or 60 fps. My knowledge of this stuff is very limited, but I do have a general understanding of the concepts so I hope I don't sound ridiculous. I am very willing to learn more if it can be of assistance.
  27. Thanks for the update Luke. I will try to pursue this further, but similar to Zhask states in his posts, the IPTV provider is not terribly knowledgeable or helpful. I do now believing this is due to either IPTV source or internet provider signal quality. However I still wonder why NextPVR and ChannelsDVR will continue to record although they do skip. It's not desirable, but it does seems to indicate that they are able to 'recover' from voids in the stream and attempt to continue. They are often playable, but not perfect. Let me provide some more details to be clear. The recordings by NextPVR and ChannelsDVR do often have messed up timelines (not always). They report duration of a program as something bizarre (for example; 2days 5 hrs 12mins) for 1 hr recordings. RW/FF through them is often not possible and the playback often freezes, so they are not playable about half the time. Maybe this will shed some more light for you. I will pursue the 555 error and report back if I can get more info. Thanks again.
