Seems the issue was the emby server, i updated it to the latest version and doesnt heat up anymore.

Your options are (1) install a server. Quick Start (2) ask a friend who runs a server to let you use theirs. (3) access an illegal server ( Paid service ) (no further instructions here). If someone else's have a talk with them. Emby does not host your server and do not supply media files.

it's a little overkill. If you want to save money, just do what I did and grab a laptop off eBay with a smashed screen. 12th gen or higher is all that's really needed. I have mine being fed by a 24 bay UNRAID server.

I got it configured and it reported it found the user and media library. But when I ask alexa to have ear wax play some music, as soon as it trys to hand off it reports "Sorry I had trouble finding music in your library". Don't know if this is a Wmby config issue or what. I used to use the Plex service till it was disabled. Then switched to Emby and trying to get it to play my music on Alexa devices.

Segmenting it at 6 s should stop SegmentComplete at Index=220 with End=1325.365 — the same line as the log I posted. To reach the 220 case: play to the end and let 221 fail, so the player steps back to 220; or, equivalently, open a fresh session and ask for 220 on its own. It's the jumped request that returns 500, not the segment. I ran it against 4.10.0.29 in a clean container before sending, with Emby Web on Safari: seek to 35 seconds from the end and let it play out. Yes, the file is UTF-8 text, with CRLF line terminators. The problem does not appear in the web app or in the ios app.

Did you try following the steps in the OP?

For example I am watching the Apothecary Dairies right now, but I've had this in a lot of other anime. When lots of subtitles are being displayed on screen, or say a Karoke'd opening like it has, it will noticeably drop frames to become almost a slide show, but the episode will play fine. If I burn in / transcode the subtitles it seems to be fine, but that's quite annoying to need to do.

How do I disable this on NVIDIA Shield? It is creating constant headaches, requiring me to restart the entire device.

Good day all, Well unfortunately one of the machines in my rack has decided it is time to finally R.I.P.. I had two machines, one dedicated for Emby and one dedicated for media "organization", it is the later that died after about 15 years of use. Although it does suck, it does present the opportunity to build a newer, still dedicated, Emby server and take advantage of tech upgrades over the past 6ish years, the age of my current Emby server, and move the current Emby hardware into the "organization" role. Unfortunately I may not be able to manually remove/re-add everything as there are hundreds of albums (even just looking at Kanye, he has lots of works he's tagged on). I was hoping that re-saving the songs/albums in question would make Emby rescan and clear out the bad identifications for me. @user24I have been doing the same exact thing you mentioned, and even have a few related threads (here and here) where I do those exact steps to get certain tag values to update where they otherwise wont for some reason (I think it happens when files have a MBID tag). Updating the file mod. date is not enough, so I end up either having to manually remove the item from Emby or will rename the folder lol.
