I believe the top priority is to immediately fix the logic issues and resolve the system crash. 1. Regarding images in the media library, the system should not generate graphics based on the currently opened image—as this slows down access speeds—but should instead display the original image first and then replace the images one by one. 2. Investigate why the plugin's scheduled task function is getting stuck.

I started the set up and had a password issue and a friend who already has emby and plex helped get it up and running.

It was precisely because the images went missing after the plugin update that I needed to scan the media library.I think this is crucial.

Quick Start

As you have noted, OPUS playback is inconsistent across LG models, and even on supported models playback isn't always reliable. This is why we disabled it for DirectPlay, and even your test by disabling "Allow audio transcoding to a compatible format, if necessary, during media playback" confirms this, which is the right way to test this. As to why it is starting part way through, that sounds like an issue with the transcoding process. I don't see anything of concern in the transcoding log from your earlier post. Does this occur with all Opus audio files, or just some? It could be an issue with the way the file has been encoded? You can send me a file via PM which I can test on a few of my devices to see if I can reproduce.

The database needs to have been scanned fully before the pre-draw posters works. Please report back if the rest works as it should, plus please try the version i posted here a few threads back if you encounter any problems. Thanks for answering and for your help!

That isn't always a good fix. Emby can run on a very lowpower server/NAS, as long as it doesn't need to transcode. And Emby supports a "hardcode when subtitles aren't supported". I don't think there is a good way to automate "hardcode subtitles when the tv CPU struggles with certain effects".

Basically, the Emby Theater app for Android seems to download whatever it wants. This is how i downloaded the content: Open the episode directly. Select the "HD" version. Press the download button. I did this to specifically ensure that Emby is not just downloading the UHD version when i download the whole season or multiple at once. I have these different versions for very different purposes. One 4K for my HDR capable devices and one 1080p for compatibility, lower bandwidth and most importantly situations where i want to watch SDR content. However, this is what i end up with in the Android app: As you can see, the app downloaded the 4K version and saved it as "- HD" which is wrong. If it downloads the best quality or "generic" it should omit the suffix or at least use the correct filename. The "Split Versions Apart" button does nothing but load because there is no other Version merged into this container format, it has the exact same size as the UHD file on the server. I would need an option to download the version >I< want. I wanted the HD version specifically because watching HDR content on a train on a sunny day is just not fun as my Pixel 9a just is not bright enough so in dark scenes i am looking like i am inspecting my smartphone very very thoroughly. So the latest 5.61.0.2 beta works as it should? Sorry for all the questions, i just want to be sure.

The issue started after the automatic upgrade to version 5.61.0.0; that update caused the media library to fail to load. I have since switched to version 5.61.0.2-beta and enabled the "Pre-draw posters" feature, and I am currently running the native Emby media library scan.

on a couple of my PCs (and Firesticks) when i launch Kodi and i get logged in to Emby, the welcome splash that pops up briefly in top center of screen doesn't include the Emby icon, rather it shows an upside down "!" also, i noticed quite a few versions back, the Welcome splash doesn't include the User name...i assume that is intentional?

Hello @radeon Purchased the whole package, the purchase process went fine, plugins doing their thing. Two comments: Why are themes being downloaded using the title, and not the tmdb-id, or imdb-id...? Examples why it's not working as expected: I have Dune (1984), Dune Part One (2021), Dune Part Two (2024) The theme from Dune 1984 went into Dune 2021. Dune 1984 and Dune 2024 didn't get an mp3/mp4. I have movies with the title in Spanish instead of English. Those movies aren't getting the theme downloaded (I'm sure some of them would probably have an mp3 downloaded if I'd leave the title in English). "Delete All" download filters seems to have broken the plugin I did a ton of changes to my libraries (changed folder names, file names, removed a bunch of "theme.mp3" and "theme.mp4" due to the issues above, to clean things up), refreshed library, went to the plugins, pressed on Delete All Download filters so that the plugins would download everything again... and as a result, the list doesn't repopulate (no movie titles appear anymore, even after a reboot), and the plugin doesn't seem to be working anymore (missing mp3 and mp4 aren't getting downloaded). I have 4.10.1.0 x86_64 on a Synology with DSM 7.4.1 Thanks in advance!

Since it appears not to affect everyone on the older server versions, here's a log. I watched Bus Stop successfully on 3.5.63, then updated to 3.5.65 and attempted to play The Glass Key, getting the error. embyserver.txt

Android 3.5.65 seems to work fine for me and I'm on a previous beta server version 4.10.0.31. Tried playing something with and without subs. Was there a specific function that resulted in the above?

@AnsellAlso i have a version here i would like you to try if possible. It doesn't have some of the changed made to the 5.61.0.0 stable so if that works it helps narrow down the problem a lot! EmbyIcons.dll

Looking into it right now and i need some information if possible. You say the latest stable version 5.61.0.0 also has problems? That version doesn't have the new pre-draw function so that limits the search a little.

PM sent (as encoding groups from private trackers do not enjoy seeing their stuff open in the world). No special characters other than a "+" here and there, but that character is not present in other movies where theme.mp3 works without issues; and the other way around, the other files where themes are not working there are no "+" around. It's just that they were the movies that "broke" last year.

Greeting all, First let me start out as i'm not sure that this is the correct place, or even forum to be discussed but anyway, here goes. For all for the media that I own, I wanted some way to have recommendations based on what I watch and what I Like/ in my Emby library, so this is where this stems from. I initially build it to run in Unraid, but as a Docker it can run anywhere, so unraid, Docker etc. I built using AI a Dashboard that reads your viewing content from Emby API and is able to do so quite nicely & then bases recommendations based on this taste profile. This runs as a light weight FastAPI Backend with a React SPA front using SQLite for the Data Component. See the attachedREADME.md It can if you want send items to your backend Sonarr/Radarr for Meta Collection if you do that sort of thing. There are five main tabs/pages to review, working backwards: Settings: Two Main sub settings: Sync Settings: Hour based Auto-Approve: Match Percent: This will automatically approve items to Sonarr/Radarr for meta data. You can also change the threshold to balance the returned results. Max Items per week: Value = Number Status: API Connection status overview: (Not much to explain here) Library: Will show your current Library, so Series & Movies: Taste Profile: This needs to be ran first once the docker container is running to read the Emby API Data. Once it runs it gives you such an overview. Dashboard: Approval Queue: Status overview of what is waiting/approved/rejected/total. To start, first Generate by clicking the Generate Recommendations button. This will give a list back based on Series/Movies that you have watched/liked. The Service Connections show the API Connection status: I did think to add a download client status, but I think in the final version this will be removed as it is not relavent to the project over all. The main dashboard overview you can Approve, Reject or Skip Forever, the options speak for themselves. Her is a zoomed in view of one recommendation. The IMDb are clickable links, as are the TMDB as they will take you to the site/info. There are also classifications for the genres. There is also a 'Why' to show it recommenced this. Some items on the back log are such like Favourite Shows to add extra 'taste' to the recommendations. Anyway, to sum it up, would anyone find this useful, is it worth asking you guys for your opinion & would anyone like to try it if I posted it to Github? Comments welcome! Best, all0gIc. (All-Logic)

I can only assume the above means the newest version of the app is incompatible with any version of the server prior to the latest beta which added the subs-on-skipback thing. I'd have thought making sure the stable app was compatible with the stable server was the most obvious step, but then I'm not a software developer or anything.
