Hide Playlists from Included In & Group Albums by Release Type + Decade
GrimReaper replied to user24's topic in General/Windows
Well, you'll have to make a decision, whether single or multi-tag import from RELEASETYPE, can't have both. Personally, I'd stay with single one and work within that limitation (as there's ROONALBUMTAG for all the eccentricities), but adjust it to your workflow, whatever you want implemented, it's just few lines of code from my side. -

This resolved. Configuration issue.. SSL, Https port mapping and DDNS setup. After all of that, the dots can play everything, except playlists.. that I am working on.

Hide Playlists from Included In & Group Albums by Release Type + Decade
user24 replied to user24's topic in General/Windows
Aaahhh - that explains it - I was testing both RELEASETYPE and ROONALBUMTAG as if they were both multi-field. Now, from your explanation, it makes sense with the errors I was getting. Yes, normal use-case for me would be only one RELEASETYPE as a standard entity and various ROONALBUMTAG tags to suit anything and everything non-standard. So your usability assumption was correct. But, it may(?) be better if both had the same logic. (Reason - MusicBrainz release types system which I may want to use in the future - because I may be able to map them into "omnibus" tags???) I need to try some mapping experiments - I have an idea - but it will take a while to test it properly. No hurry at all - I need at least a full day uninterrupted to try the mapping... which will likely be tomorrow now... -

@Luke Hi, I am having issues with Playlists, specifically getting Alexa to recognize and play a playlist. I am moving from Plex to Emby. I exported a playlist from Plex using a tool called Webtools-NG, I then modified the file to be a normal playlist with .m3u extension I tested it in Itunes and Vox, both played successfully. I then moved the file to the proper playlist folder location that is on my NAS. Scanned the music folder. Example; /shares/Music/Playlist/Playlist_filename I went into Emby, saw the playlist, clicked play and the playlist played I went to Amazon Echo Dot and spoke the following; Alexa, ask MB Home to play playlist Chill Mix Alexa replied, the requested media is not in the Library. Alexa plays individual songs ok Alexa plays songs by artists ok Alexa plays albums ok Alexa will not play a playlist. It doesnt matter if I create the playlist in Emby or I create the playlist outside of Emby, Alexa does not see it. I have checked that the Amazon emby skill logs in the same way I created the playlist inside of Emby. There is my story. I hope this gives you a clear picture of my struggles and assist you in finding a solution. Thank you, Marvin

Hide Playlists from Included In & Group Albums by Release Type + Decade

Let me think about that one a bit. I should have something workable this afternoon (CET time), as I'm AFAIK for the better part of today. -

GrimReaper replied to user24's topic in General/Windows
Hmmm, that one might be on me as I didn't clearly explained usage conditions/limitations - or I assumed too much: there is a difference in handling RELEASETYPE and ROONALBUMTAG based on the sample files you've sent me, as I thought RELEASETYPE can ever only have one album tag and one track tag, hence import is restricted to first tag found (before the first semicolon), whereas ROONALBUMTAG is free-for-all, in as many tags as there are, semicolon separated. If you want, I can apply same logic to RELEASETYPE but then you'll start getting track tags as album tags - and subsequently track sections in Group by Release Type UI. -
Problemas com permissões de Biblioteca pra usuário
Luke replied to Truco?'s topic in General/Windows
HI, you would set EnableAllFolders to true for all (obviously). Or for specific ones, set EnableAllFolders to false, and then populate EnabledFolders. -
@baldieHi, has this helped?
-
HI, can you give an example of something you'd like to see?
-
HI, there currently isn't such a setting, but I agree that it would be a nice thing to add.

v0.7 I like the new section headings a lot - thank you! I think we need the three Import Modes because if a tag field (embedded metadata) is rewritten as blank, it will not be cleared in Emby by the REPLACE function. The first two red error logs below are from the REPLACE command. Then the green log is the CLEAR command: Wonder if you see the same, or am I missing something obvious? Then, after clearing RELEASETYPE and ROONALBUMTAG fields, I can ADD one tag from each, as next operations. But, if I then try to ADD additional tags, reading from RELEASETYPE fails. Can you replicate tihsi? Also REPLACE seems a bit flakey, when I have two existing tags in the fields and try to replace them with another two tags... I've run out of time right now to test this further, but there seems to be differences here as well between importing RELEASETYPE and ROONALBUMTAG. Agree, now that I have tried it. I'm happy to revert back to your order. The GUI looks better in your original order. I just need to get used to the process - and with your additional CLEAR options, in TAG METHOD section, it doesnt really make sense for that to suddenly appear above IMPORT MODE. -
Hide certain librarys from home screen or my media?
Luke replied to Soundchasr's topic in General/Windows
It's opt out because otherwise what will happen is users will add new libraries and then they won't know why things are not showing up in various sections such as latest, continue watching, etc. -
Looked again just now, after the scheduled task ran overnight, and it's working. I just ran the group when I was trying to get it to work last night, whereas the scheduled task runs everything.

HI, that's interesting. Never heard of orientation specific behavior before. We'll try to reproduce this. Thanks.

Hi, not currently but this question has come up before and it's likely that something will be added. Thanks.

Oh OK so in that case it's not multi-version. That means they are two separate library items and don't have any relationship.
