@LukeHey Luke sorry to revive this old thread but it's happened again. I'm not sure why when Emby signs me out and I'm being told my password is invalid. It looks like I'll have to force reset again but I'm not sure if anyone else has had a similar problem? To clarify, this is my login for my emby server. Thanks

Hi @Lukeis there any update on pushing a newer update through Scale? We're still on 4.9.5.0. I have had a fairly serious issue now twice where ffmpeg fails to terminate and runs all night while I sleep. The common factors are: DV P7.6, PGS subtitles and a 3rd Gen FireTV Cube. I have too many rips to convert all subs to subrips. I have woken twice to the nice surprise of seeing some of my Intel 13th Gen Cores cooking at near 90C and CPU at 65%. I have added a Cron job to kill ffmpeg if it's running for 2+ hours but it would sure be nice to have this issue patched. Thanks for all of your hard work!

I see this option under Home Sections. I am curious if this will specifically copy just what I have checked off above the button. For example: In the below screenshot, if I click the button, will it copy just the 'On Now' section to home? When I clicked the button, it came up with some Copy options that made me question. But I'm thinking it's just allowing me to also grant access in the same swing? If I wanted to copy only the section I have highlighted, can I uncheck everything under the Copy options? Naturally, if the user didn't have access to some things, they may see limited (or no) content under the new section. Just want to confirm my understanding - thanks!

I've customized the home screens. I like the fine-grained control introduced in 4.10. The favorites issue is unique. As far as I can tell, it's matching a favorite by IMDB or similar metadata, and returning matches from all libraries. Not so great if there is a mix of local and VOD libraries (attached). Being able to apply fine-grained library control over the favorites would be wonderful.

From my perspective there is nothing left to discuss at this point in time. There is not enough benefit in this feature to warrant further development at this time.

Not 100% your request, but you can realize it with the EmbyIcons Plugin and the Tagging or Filename Function inside it.

Hi. An easy way for now would be to add "IMAX" as the first genre on these items. That would also give you a quick and easy way to see them all.

With 4.10 being fully released now, was curious what others who have been using the beta recommend. Is the most common way to get specific content on your homepage by using the new 'Dynamic Media' and then using 'tags'? It seems that is the only way to set up a truly custom search criteria. If so, will have to look into some automation for tagging. Thanks for ideas!

Hi, sorry there’s no control over the favorites tab. I misunderstood you. It displays from all libraries. But now you can create your own Home Screen sections so perhaps look at that?

Right you need to contact the owner of the server. Maybe they shut it down, changed IP address, revoked your access, etc

If you are actually talking about "Windows Media Center" how are you getting any guide data at all for that now? I thought that was cut off years ago. In any case, I believe that, you think it is "working fine" because it is not trying to determine if you already have any particular showing of any particular item already and is just happily recording duplicates. We are using the guide data to avoid recording duplicates and, according to the guide data, this would be a duplicate.

Hi. Perhaps you are talking about the "Next Up" episode part of Continue Watching? If so, be sure the episodes have proper season/episode numbers.

As stated previously, I have UPnP enabled on both Emby Server and my router, which, up until yesterday, worked perfectly fine with Emby Connect. Manual port forwarding (no matter what settings or guides I have followed) has never once worked for WAN access for me, no matter what I've done, so I have never utilized it.

You can do what you want, if you dont want to provide me the information that is needed, then send me a link to someone that can. Ive been straight forward in telling you what the problem is and there has been no help yet!

@LukeI have updated to v4.10 but can't find where to control libraries used to populate the favorites tab. Please advise.

Sometimes the playback will stop for 10-20 seconds or it just freezes completely. And sometimes it crashes Emby, meaning it returns to the home screen. This morning about 8:40 am CST it froze three times in different places while playing GMA. We started watching from the beginning and while it was still recording GMA. Hey everyone, I'm using the Emby Android app on my Sony Google TV. Lately, whenever I watch Dolby Vision content, there is constant micro-stuttering/judder. If I open the Apple TV app to watch the exact same content (4K DV at 23.976 fps), playback is buttery smooth. It seems like a bug has crept in. Everything runs perfectly smooth in Emby with HDR10 or standard SDR, this issue only happens with Dolby Vision. Has anyone else run into this or found a fix? Emby for Android 3.5.55

Checked 4.10.0.40, the stable build, and the tail behaves exactly as it did in the betas. I also updated my own production server to 4.10 and it stops in the same place there. Same setup as before — fresh container, same synthetic sample, same probes. Each row is 4.10.0.30 -> 4.10.0.31 -> 4.10.0.40: - identical final segments, 6-second segments: 2 -> 2 -> 2 - identical final segments, 3-second segments: 3 -> 3 -> 3 - md5 of those segments: f40fe109... -> the same -> the same - last fMP4 segment, fresh sessions: no response -> no response -> no response (8 of 8 ) - "FfRunException" in the server log: 0 -> 0 -> 0 The image id is new and there are nine builds between .31 and .40, so plenty was built — just not this. And nothing regressed either: the .30 fix still holds, FfRunException is still zero. The mechanism is the one from #comment-1537253: ffmpeg is restarted per segment and seeked to the nominal segment boundary with the video copied, so when a file's last keyframe falls before the penultimate segment boundary with none after it, every later run rewinds to that same keyframe and emits the same frames. The recipe for a file that reproduces it is in that post and takes about two minutes to build. Mentioning it because until now everything in this thread was beta testing, and this build is the one people are running. Still happy to test anything you want against this setup.
