Hi, what you’re doing is more than the typical user so you’re in a good position already. I used to front my installation with pfSense years ago so my memory is a little hazy but apply some Snort/Suricata signatures to help detect port scans, brute force attacks as well as any other suspicious activity going on. Got to be careful how many you turn on… Would also be useful to implement ‘pfBlockerNG’ which can block ‘known’ bad IPs from various threat intelligence feeds, as well as applying geoblocks etc. As for the windows side of things, if performance and GPU transcoding aren’t at the top of your requirements you could run Ubuntu within Hyper-V on your machine, and run Emby inside that. You won’t be able to mount USB drives to it but you can always create network shares and do it that way.

Without testing - Suspect old version .nfo causing name sticking. Try removing the .nfo file, if you have them and rescaning the library.

Hi, quick correction to my previous message — I realized I described the issue inaccurately. The OpenSubtitles token does not expire immediately. The actual behavior is: Subtitle downloads work normally for a while. After some time, the OpenSubtitles token expires. Once it expires, Emby can no longer download subtitles at all and every request fails with invalid token. The only way to make subtitle downloads work again is to restart the Emby server, which generates a new valid token. After the restart, everything works again until the token expires once more. So the problem is not that the token is invalid from the start — it’s that Emby doesn’t seem to refresh or renew the token when it expires, forcing a full server restart each time. Just wanted to clarify the correct behavior so the issue can be diagnosed properly. I can provide logs if needed.

Alas, this problem of Downloads is occurring again for me On any media - TV show or Movie - the window to choose the quality is blank and the Download button does nothing when pressed. I have done the following to debug it ... checked that my user has download permissions on the server management pages force closed and restarted the app logged out, closed the app, restarted and logged in deleted and reinstalled the app tried on mobile data instead of WiFi confirmed that my wife can download items with no problems on her Google Pixel 8 Emby Server: Version 4.10.0.40 on Ubuntu Linux iPhone: 13 Mini iOS: 26.6.2 Over to you! So manual recording is ok. I am using OTA local as the guide data. It did not trigger recording the series. I noticed and had to do it manually. The data is correct but I have no idea why it is stopping and recording again. Show started 30 min ago. Recording series was selected but it was just greyed out.

That settings is only for if extra training files have been given to the OCR engines. It doesn't really matter for what is being done here as long as you add the right keywords.

Should I also set it to eng+fra in the OCR settings?

So you might need to add keywords like for example "histoire" and "acteurs" for it to look for. The more you add the more precise it will be. The Chroma/hash detection seems to work as it should. If audio is too different between episodes it will fail because it can't find a common sound to compare with.

I just watched the end of the episode, I think it's supposed to be like that.
