How can it be "free for a short while" on Google Play? Google does not allow that kind of promotion, once free on the Play Store - > always free, it's one of Google's more annoying policies.

When I install the app now it's free. Will this always be free for my google account or only for a limited time?

The reason why I ask is because I change roms on my phone alot so I need to reinstall the app each time.

I would like to know this because if it's only for a limited time I would then need to make a backup APK file.

I suppose it's like any other paid app you would buy from the Google PlayStore, once you've bought it, you own it and don't have to pay for it to install on other devices, or reinstall on the same device after it's been deleted.

 

PROVIDED IT IS THE SAME APP.

 

If a new version is introduced into the Play Store (or Amazon App Store) as a completely different app, then it wouldn't matter if you bought the previous one. 

 

It's the same with the Apple AppStore.

 

I'm an Apple user, but I have friends and relatives that use Android devices and I must admit the Android MB3 Client app is a thing of beauty.  The iOS version has a lot of catching up to do.

I have to agree with overclocked. Thinking about switching to android because of the client.

if a free app encourages new users, imagine what free sync might accomplish.

Any idea when we should expect the new version to be released? I am very, very excited to use it.

Cannot buy it either from Play store or Amazon App.

Not showing up in Play Store, and Geographical Restriction on Amazon App. Oh my, I already a lifetime supporter.

 

Is there any way to fix this? I would love to install this app on my android...

Anyone who got the app for free managed to install it on another device? I got a tablet now, same google account as on my phone, same emby server etc, i can't play more than 1 minute of my videos on the tablet :/
