Emby for Apple TV 1.7.0 Released - OSD Info Tab, Next Episode Playback
This is the latest release of Emby for Apple TV. It's a small maintenance release, containing new OSD features and improvements as well as a fix to existing identified issues.

We've re-introduced the native tvOS player back into Emby. The native player supports dynamic range and refresh rates that the MPV-based player currently doesn't support. The native player is enabled by default but you can enable MPV by going into the settings as shown

Emby for Android TV Now Available on More Devices
A quick follow-up to our brand new Emby for Android TV app makes it now compatible with any device running at least Android 4.2.2 (JellyBean) as well as providing a few nice enhancements. All of the following enhancements will be available in both the Google and Amazon (Fire TV) based apps.
Improved Playback Interface
The OSD when playing back items has been completely re-designed to be sleeker and provide much better info
Version 1.4 of the Android TV app (available soon on Google Play and your Fire TV) now changes the library browsing interface to have "tabs" like the web app and Theater.
You now should be able to quickly get to the different views of each library and choose how that library is displayed when you first enter it. This new presentation should now be the same as most of the other apps - helping users that use apps on multiple platforms be instantly familiar with the interface.
Themes
The new release of the Android TV and Fire TV apps now have multiple themes you can choose from just like the web app and Theater (Emby Premiere required for theme support).
Multi-version Selection
Now, for movies for which you have multiple versions (in the supported convention) the app will allow you to choose which version to play when playing back from the detail screen.
