Trakt.tv Plugin Bug

Hello Guys,

yesterday I installed on my fresh, new Server running Ubuntu 16.04 and emby Server (v3.0.6000.0) the Trakt Plugin (v 3.0.6021.26344). Before installing the Plugin 2 Library's (Movies & TV shows) where completely scrapped and worked like a charm.

When the plugin was installed I provided my trakt.tv credentials in the Settings and activated "Extra Logs", just to be on the safe side. Nothing else. Then I went to the "planned Tasks" Section and run first the "Sync Library to trakt.tv" Task (guess it worked well) and next the "Import play states from trakt.tv" Task. 

 

Right after running these 2 Tasks the TV Shows and Episodes in the TV Shows library were marked correctly as watched. Everything like expected. Unfortunately this is not the case for the Movie Library. The plug in seems to fucked up the following 2 things:

 

1. The Movie Library showing only 1.1k instead of 1.5 Movies (no filters set).  Around 400 Movies are simply disappeared. After rescanning there are luckily back.

 

​2. and this is even worse, instead of importing play states from trakt.tv it removed many play states from my trakt.tv profile. From around total 500 watched movies in my trakt.tv profile, it set 306 movies as unwatched. on the emby side, the plug in didn't changed any play state. after writing to the trakt.tv support they could restore the play states, but only with the timestamp of a few hours ago. So the original timestamp of these 306 watched movies are gone forever.

 

Anyway, I am really afraid of running this Import of play states ever again. I totally lost trust in this. Especially since i expected it does only importing and not exporting and kills half of my (half-) manual gathered play states.

 

I attached the server log file, which hopefully helps to find the bug.

Hi, I had a similar experience to this when I also set up Emby and Trakt for the first time. I can't give as much information as Chandler but after setting up Emby and running a Trakt sync, everything went very wrong with ergard to what was showing as watched or not. I had to manually put it right and then moving forward it keeps the watched flags synced correctly, which is my main requirement. I have noticed that when Emby scrapes some new content it does not add it to the Trakt library though.

i am also having problems with the trakt plugin. it keeps re syncing watched state on some tv series every sync.

i had over 1000 plays on alot of episodes.

 

hopefully there will be a new updated trakt plugin in the future.

I'm not aware of any major changes of trakt, so maybe something on the emby part has changed?

Little addition: the authorization fails if the account was created via google sign-in. Perhaps the same happens with the other sigin-in methods like twitter.

I've just created a "normal" trakt account without Google or Twitter and everything is fine...
