Movies thumbnails all there in web interface but not MBC Client

For some reason i see every movie cover art displayed in the EMBY web interface but not in the EMBY WMC client.

What could cause this problem. Some of the movies do not show the cover art in WMC Client but show a default Film strip thumbnail icon but even that default thumb will disapear if once you select the movie, so some movies show no thumbnail at all if you have selected it at least one time.

Pressing Control R on that movie dose not correct the missing cover art even though the metadata is stored local on my hard drive in the movie folders.

What should i do to get this in sync with the server or web interface display.

Update your server - you are way behind on that.

I updated but now for some movies it just shows no cover art (Blank) and you just see the background image. Again in the web interface all movies show  a cover art thumbnail.

The two Win7 HTPC have this problem and they have to connect to the MB3 server on the WIN8 PC. I just installed Emby WMC client on the win8 PC (MB3 Server)  and it shows all the Icons just fine.

So How can i force the other Clients to rescan for the server info?

Ok, i might be getting some where.

I was looking at the client log and found some of these error, i am not sure they relate to the missing cover art but i think so.

So maybe this will help determine what is going on.

Could i just detete the Imagecache folder on the client and let it rebuild it ?

Yes, you can try that.  Also be sure Windows is up to date and there is enough space on the disc.

Well maybe i need to read up on the correct way to delete the cache.

I just deleted the folder in the cache (1,2,3,...) but they can right back and still have the same movies missing the cover art.

I did a library scan from the client but it is still the same.

I guess there is something about those movies files i will have to look closer to find what it is. Funny it works fine on the server even in the WMC client but not for some movies on the client the server is not installed on.

I will try and remove the movie and then add it back and see if that updates that movie.

Well that is about it for me. I have been using this software for years. With MB2 i never had an issue and it was easy to maintain.

I waited year before i finally upgrade to MB3, at first it work fine.

I used this MB3 and Plex off and on for the last year. I never had a problem with the Cover art before with MB3. If a cover did not show up i just did a Control-R and it fetched the current info and that fixed it. For some reason now it fetches the default cover for the film strip. Even though all the files are there, the NFO is updated correctly, and is just like the movies that work good.

I have seen many user complain after they auto upgrade there server, so i had turned off auto upgrade.

BUT EMBY for WMC wouold still update even now and then when i used it.

At some point the cover art that had benn working all along stopped, i am not sure when becasue it is only some of them.
But i have now updated all to the latest version and no change in this issue.

Anyways i have given up at this point i will just use PLEX. The Way EMBY for WMC is right now with about have of the cover art missing looks like hell when using the psoter wall setup. I have error in the log but the same link if manually pasted into IE call up the coverart just fine.

It seems to work fine on the Server but i don't use the server to watch TV.

Thanks for trying to help me.
