charles2515 2 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Hi, Since the Last update instead of displaying the folder.jpg as the image its showing a random image of the tv show. This is only happening in my tv show sections (all 3 tv sections are experiencing this ) but my Movies is working fine and is displaying the folder.jpg like before, Is This by design ? if so where can I turn this feature off to get the folder.jpg to be displayed instead of an actual frame of the video. Thanks,
Jimmy 12 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 or it has something to do with roc theme if you using it.lee can you advise?
charles2515 2 Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 (edited) Here's the screenshot Movies.jpg Which still displays the folder.jpg correctly Tvshow.jpg which displays a random frame of the tv show Edited October 13, 2013 by charles2515
Luke 42077 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 let's backup and just test in the web client. let me know how it looks there.
ebr 16169 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Based on the name of that episode, you don't have any metadata for it.

Luke 42077 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 great, then file this issue in the area of the appropriate client.
charles2515 2 Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 or it has something to do with roc theme if you using it.lee can you advise? Im Using Vanilla but i've tried with Chocolate and other Theme and its doing the same thing.
ebr 16169 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 In the Web Cliend it displays the folder.jpg correctly You are looking at apples and oranges here. In the Web client you were looking at a list of TV Shows. In MBC, you were looking at the recent list showing a single episode. Drill down to that same episode in the web client and I'll bet you'll find the same image and, probably, no other metadata.

All im looking for is the folder.jpg to be displayed in the list of recent list showing. it was working before the update and i think something has changed that. It doesnt matter if my show has any metadata or not it shoudl just display that folder.jpg no ? I've done a quick test and if i put that show in a folder tag as movie the folder.jpg is displayed properly even without any metadata ! Other i'll just tag everything as movie instead and that will be my work around

It hasn't changed, but the data involved probably has. Recent lists show only the items that fit the criteria of the list (new, new unwatched, watched). In the case of things like tv episodes we will "roll up" multiple items into a container of a show and season on the recent list - but only if there are multiple items. In this case, you probably have a single new episode within that show so it is showing by itself on the RAL. This is by design and hasn't changed. Now, some themes have an option to show the season poster instead of the episide thumb for individual episodes on the RAL. You might check for that option in the theme you are using. 1

Thanks for the reply EBR, but if we go back to basic: - Im Using the Default MB3 Theme -i've disabled the Download metadata option and that one of my folder of a tv show looks like this (see image attached) Shouldnt the folder.jpg show up in recent lists / watched items in a Tv Show section ? Because Now its just showing the default MB3 Icon! And it Shows the folder.jpg properly in any Movies or Audio Section that's the Strangest thing.
ebr 16169 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 The primary image for the item in question (an episode) is the thumbnail or screen grab. That is what is showing because that is the image associated with that item. If you navigate to that actual item (not its parent) in any of the other clients, you should see the same image. But, I also notice you have a non-standard folder structure. Episodes should be in season folders.
