MikeMedia 1 Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Just got Emby up and running on Win10 working well internally. Having a problem connecting using Emby COnnect on IOS app. Not really certain which account username to use. I have tried the user account email address and password i used to purchase Premier and its not working. I have configured external access on emby server and port forwarding on router. I can connect internally using internal ip and automatically logs me in using my server username. Is there a log i can send or any advice which user account i should be using. The error i get is incorrect username or password. thanks.

WHen it came back it had the username 'MikeMedia' so then tried to use that name (and also the email) and password but still doesn't connect just sends me back to the auth page on the iPhone. Carlo 4561 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 @MikeMedia on your Dashboard it will have a remote address listed as well as LAN address. Can you PM me your remote address so I can give it a quick test to see if I get a login screen?
Carlo 4561 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Tested the WAN address and it's working just fine from my house so remote access is good. MikeMedia would be what you want to have in the optional Emby Connect field. Make sure you have "Allow remote connections to this Emby Server." enabled for this user in the profile tab. Keep in mind you have a local username/password and then Emby Connect user of MikeMedia and password. So don't confuse the two different passwords. Are you trying the phone on WIFI or off WIFI through the cell network? You may want to try it both ways.

Your username at the top of the forum, click the dropdown list, Account settings-Password or forgot passwork link Forgot Password - Emby Community But you are login in here so you shouldn't need to change anything.
