Cphusion 3 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 (edited) When I open a movie in my Emby library there is a button "Trailer", when I click on it I get an error: " No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details." I have already installed the plugin "Trailers" but that plugin only seems to be an addition to cinematic mode and doesn't do anything for streaming trailers for movies in your library. I don't see any useful errors in my log file, all I see is this. Abobader 3470 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Hello Cphusion, ** This is an auto reply ** Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: Thank you. Emby Team
Happy2Play 9783 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Does Emby provide all metadata? Do you write nfo files with media? If so can you post the trailers url.
Cphusion 3 Posted June 3, 2021 Author Posted June 3, 2021 (edited) I don't let Emby write nfo files for me, I get Radarr/Sonarr to retrieve nfo files for me and then have Emby configured to also look for local nfo files. I'll attach an example file. Army of the Dead (2021).nfo Edited June 3, 2021 by Cphusion
Carlo 4561 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 The trailer tag is written differently to the file then the way Emby would write it. That is likely the reason trailers aren't playing for you. <trailer>plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?video_id=tI1JGPhYBS8</trailer> vs <trailer>plugin://plugin.video.youtube/?action=play_video&videoid=tI1JGPhYBS8</trailer>
Solution Luke 42085 Posted June 3, 2021 Solution Posted June 3, 2021 I pushed an update to the nfo plugin today so that it's able to understand the newer format for that. 2
Cphusion 3 Posted June 3, 2021 Author Posted June 3, 2021 I gave now gave emby write access in the folders where my movie library is located at and for my movie and I enabled "Metadata savers" in my library. I did a library rescan but I don't see any nfo files being place, I also did a refresh metadata of one movie by using the "Metadata Manager" but don't see any changes. Am I missing something? About that last comment of @Luke does that mean with the new update it will be able to read my current nfo files?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Yes we identified this in the other topic. You should see the nfo metadata plugin update showing on the dashboard. And yes this format should have been added. Just tested. Just do a library scan after updating plugin.
Cphusion 3 Posted June 3, 2021 Author Posted June 3, 2021 It looks like the plugin was updated(see attachment) and I did a library rescan but the trailers still don't work.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 I just added Army of the Dead with your nfo file and it played without issue, where it failed before the update. 1 1
Cphusion 3 Posted June 3, 2021 Author Posted June 3, 2021 (edited) It's working now, a full library rescan wasn't enough. I just removed both my movie and my series library and readded them and now the trailers work! Thanks for the help and the update! I'm still experimenting with 3 different mediaserver setups but this was a must work so it's much appreciated! Edited June 3, 2021 by Cphusion 1
