Lonald 10 Posted June 2, 2021 Posted June 2, 2021 Hi all, I don't see a posting on this. Since the 4.6.x upgrade the time to load the full home page on the Windows app and through MS Edge is very, very slow. Loading on my Android phone is quite brisk. The Windows speed is a noticeable decrement from 4.5 and prior versions. Pretty large movie and music libraries, yet 4.5 did great. I've used Emby for many years and am very impressed with the development. No doubt this is a problem with my configuration. Windows 10 machine with files on two Synology NAS servers. Connection via ethernet Gb switch. I am hoping to test my music collection on the new version; I previously stripped out the prior external data feeds and cleaned up the tags. Really, all I want are artist photos and album art.... Is there a log file I can post for the slow home page load? Thanks!!!
Luke 42088 Posted June 2, 2021 Posted June 2, 2021 Hi there, please attach the emby server log from when you thought it was slow. Thanks.
Solution Lonald 10 Posted June 3, 2021 Author Solution Posted June 3, 2021 I upgraded to 4.6.2 before checking now the home page loads briskly. Can't say anything about cause & effect, but the problem is resolved. Prior to reporting the issue I did restart the server without success and then restarted the computer without success. Happy customer. Attached is a log during the slow period, hope it helps! Thanks! embyserver-63757929601.txt 1
