DerrickM 23 Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 I did follow that exact guide when I redid it today, It was working perfectly for probably 2 years.

DerrickM 23 Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 I have tried it twice, it does the same thing, is it the port 8096 that its being denied access to?
Carlo 4561 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 That would seem to indicate possibly that another program is running that is already using port 8096. How many versions of Emby Server do you see running? if you run an elevator CMD prompt (run as administrator) what do you see when you run? netstat -an
DerrickM 23 Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 it was a lot of text so i just copied it into a txt document, but I didn't see any thing using port 8096. nestatAN.txt

Did you run that when Emby was not running?
DerrickM 23 Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 I closed Emby from the hidden icons and ran netstat again and get the same thing, 8920 still shows up, how can I see what's using it?
DerrickM 23 Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 Ok, Im an idiot, I setup something with IIS a couple weeks back. just checked the bindings and I had put 8920 in there for some reason, probably didnt know what i was doing and trying to get auto cert renewal working. deleted that binding and the service started. thanks for working through it with me, weird that it took so long to rear its head. 1

I like to think of those as "Senior Moments". 1
