Wrong poster art for files?

I'm setting up emby, with the intention of moving away from Plex within a few days. I can get this all set up and running but I'm having issues with the posters for the files. And seeing as the whole family rely on this I'd like to get this sorted before migrating. 

I'm pointing emby to the same files as Plex but having to adjust the filenames to get the correct metadata. But I'm struggling with a few films.

There is some Lego DC Comic files that just will not get the right poster. Most of the other files are ok, and I'm realising the different way that emby reads content, but cannot get these fixed. 

Is there any tips regarding files that won't refresh with the correct metadata?

Hi,

This document below details the naming standards that emby uses.

If for some reason they are still not picked up, then I would check the source metadata sites directly to see how they have named it and check the year etc (tmdb, tvdb etc)

If you have a REALLY stubborn file - then you can actually add the provider id into the foldername by including in square brackets - ie   FolderName (2021) [tvdbid=123456]

EDIT: Seems to have worked with all the other stubborn files except from the Lego DC files. Tried everything suggested. I'm thinking it's the settings on the server. 

Either way, I can deal with these files afterwards, they have plenty to watch.

If you can give example file names / structure of the Lego DC ones, we may be able to help you solve these last few.

I managed to solve the issue clicking on the 3 dots in the poster art and using identify. Then I go to www.imdb.com, and type in the name, Year, and IMDb ID in the URL for the film. 

It's picked them up perfectly.
