I have a TV Season, the  one I had download and add the Subtitles (forced) manually. I also re-name them, I used 5 different players and all can find and use the Subs. With Emby I had done everything I can think off. Also, try to download and Scan Media over 10 times, nothing is working, it is NOT searching, Downloading and specially locating any Subs I just download + added manually, it is Not.

I name the srt the same as the files, like before and always worked. I had them in the same folder, nothing, add a new Folder name it Sub, neither.

It just Stopped working

PS: reboot Server and PC with no avail.

Do you mean they cannot be recognized at all (not listed in Detail view) or cannot be played?

Sorry for the delay... it is exactly what he stated GrimReaper76

Like stated before, I manually add the SRT Sub, name same as files but Emby will not recognize and cannot play them

Hi.  Can you please show us exactly how everything is named and organized (the folders they are in)?

TV File name:

30.Coins.S01E07.SPANISH.1080p.DD5.1.x264

sub (Folder)-

30.Coins.S01E07.1080p.DD5.1.x264.eng.srt

30.Coins.S01E07.1080p.DD5.1.x264.Spanish.Forced.srt

Those ain't correct names. Either put those subtitles next to your episode and rename them exactly as your media item (30.Coins.S01E07.SPANISH.1080p.DD5.1.x264.en.srt because atm they are not named correctly, you are missing word SPANISH in subtitle names) or try renaming your folder to "subs" or "subtitles", in which case, IIRC, exact file name might not be that important, haven't used subfolders in a while.

a '\Subs' folder off the media folder works perfectly ok - it's not the preferred way of doing it but it works.   The key however is ensuring the subtitle name matches EXACTLY with the media name.  As @GrimReaper76 has highlighted above - some of yours do not match.

If it does not match, them there is simply no way for emby to match the subtitle to the media file as you can have multiple media files in the same folder. ;)

Was about to go to work so didn't really explain, the Folder name with "Spanish" is the Folder for the Chapter but the Video Files does not have "Spanish" in it. The SRT and the Video files it is exactly the same name.I had done this numerous times and always work, this time it doesn't.

To be Exact, here is the Media File name:

30.Coins.S01E07.1080p.DD5.1.H.264.mkv

SRT it's already post it here

So the srt is in the same folder as the video? What is the exact file name of the SRT?

Then again, those names aren't correct, you have H.264 in video file and x264 in subtitle files.

Agree, after post, noticed the difference, just update the name and scanning the media now, will reply if issue is resolved... Thanks

After adjust the names, modifies the Word English and Spanish to eng and spa + moved the srt from the sub folder, next to the media files, run the media scan 2 times, now it's all good. Emby does read my srt.

Start to believe: the media file, it have included other subs as SUBRIP, they are inside the media, seems this may had make it difficult to Emby. I had always done, the extra sub folder and add there the srt and never had an issue, except must name the srt exactly as the media file.

Anyway, Appreciated all the support
