I have a new device that I have been testing.  Now I just noticed that the stats for Nerds, does show the correct frames per second, compared to what mediainfo  is reporting.  My device changes the fps to what Emby says it should.........

In this case, "Tower Heights", mediainfo shows 23.976 fps, Emby shows 29.97 fps, so my device switches to 30fps instead of 24fps......

But what does the UI Media Info show or command output using ffmpeg?  As Emby uses ffmpeg not MediaInfo.

What do the UI show for Media Info on that item in the web client?

Your screen shot shows your device at 59.x.  But, again, are you talking about our switch or the device itself?  If the device itself is doing the switching, then it is reading the frame rate the same way we are.

The device is doing the switching.....

Okay, so Emby isn't involved in that at all.

That is a question that I can't answer......

Emby would be creating a workaround for the failings of this device, and I am not sure is it worth the effort and resources.

So, no Emby isn't involved directly, and I am not sure how Emby and Mediainfo app can have the same matching fps.  If Emby showed 23.976fps  as per mediainfo instead of 29.97fps that Emby "sees"., then playback of said video would be much smoother .....

No, what we are showing is irrelevant in this case because we are not controlling the switching.  The device is doing that on its own.  But what that tells us is it is seeing the same information that we are in the video stream.
