pwhodges 2012 Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 How does the failure show itself? What have you done to enable remote access? Have you been through the processes described in the connectivity wiki article: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001849007-connectivity Paul
VC-STUDIO 0 Posted February 1, 2021 Author Posted February 1, 2021 HI yes, i have been using the service for over an year and just this morning it stop working. i thought it was the firewall because i wasn't seeing a connection fail in my log on the dashboard. I check my port and nothing have changer, i disable the firewall but its still not connecting.
pwhodges 2012 Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) Has your IP changed, either because your remote IP is not static anyway, or (more seriously) because your ISP has introduced cgNAT? Try one of the whatismyIP or similar websites to check that you still have the address you expect (or not...). Paul Edited February 1, 2021 by pwhodges

VC-STUDIO 0 Posted February 2, 2021 Author Posted February 2, 2021 Error: I could not see your service on that's the message i got
Carlo 4561 Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 If the IP is correct, that tells us somethings has changed. Try checking: port forwarding on your router. Make sure it's pointing to the proper IP of your Emby Server. Maybe it's IP changed. That you aren't running a VPN or something similar that re-routes your Internet traffic That you have no firewall or security software blocking access If it's not one of those things it's also possible your ISP has starting blocking you. Let us know what you find out or if you need a hand sorting this out with a remote session.
VC-STUDIO 0 Posted February 2, 2021 Author Posted February 2, 2021 I deleted the port forwarding then restart my modem and add the same info back in port forwarding and now it connect. I'm not sure why it works but maybe someone will have an idea.
Carlo 4561 Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Could just be something like the router had an issue and resetting the port forwarding fixed it. We'll never know now. Let us know if you see this happen again in the future. If so try a router reboot/reset and see if that fixes the issue.
