okay up until I got Emby Premiere I noticed the date format for configuring metadata was yyyy/mm/dd,

now it is mm/dd/yyyy.

I prefer the first format as it makes more logical sense than the way it is now. how do I revert this? is there a file to edit?

Hi, if you're seeing this in a web browser you will want to check you browser options as this is what determines how the date is shown.

it's happening on both the web browser and on Emby Theater.

please disregard this post, after some research I found out that the microsoft store version of Emby Theater and the new microsoft edge both use the windows built in date/region formatting. I feel like an idiot for not noticing this before

OK, yes check your browser settings.

The source for the format actually varies.  My machine is set to English-UK, and the metadata editor follows this whatever; but if I specify English-US in the Emby server settings, although the metadata editor is unaffected, the dashboard shows dates in US format.

Right if you're referring to the date picker, that is controlled by the browser or device.
