Drive Filling Up

I have a Hauppauge WinTV10 dual tuner.  When I watch Live TV with Emby Theater, it fills up my drive in this folder: C:\Users\Public\Videos\Pause Buffer.  If I restart the server or go to the home page in Emby Theater, it will clean these up, but if I don't the drive fills up and everything crashes.  There is a setting in the WinTV 10 software for this folder, but it does nothing.  Every 10 minutes of watching creates a file of about 800 MB - 1 GB.  I have read about this happening to someone else, but I never saw a resolution.

Another issue is when I go from watching a channel for a few hours and back to the guide, the guide does not refresh so I am at the point in time when I first started watching the channel.  If I go to the home page and then to the guide, the time goes to the correct point.  I am using the latest version of Emby Server 4.5.4.0.

Hi.  Are you using an external system/plug-in for your recording instead of Emby directly?

He didn't say, but I'm guessing it's Emby via WinTV to his tuner.
Others have this same problem.

When I was using a Hauppauge tuner, I set up a regular scheduled job to empty that directory.  It did the job with no ill effects.

Not that I know of.  It appears Emby is using the WinTV 10 software somehow.  Should I uninstall WinTV10?  Does Emby need it?

No, if using a Hauppauge tuner you need the WinTV software.  This won't be a requirement in the future with the new Live TV in development but for now it is needed.

You'll have to keep an eye on this folder for now.
