Carlo 4561 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Very nice! I do the same. My daughter just graduated today (actually my time yesterday) with her Masters in Science. I'm working on both graduation pics and video to put on my Emby system for friends and family to view. She would have graduated in June/July time frame, if it weren't for Covid-19 and setting back the university curriculum but better late than never. LOL Now on to to her decorate degree.
ErikGeis 2 Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 @cayars Hoping you may be able to help me with a remote access/emby connect? issue similar to one it looks like you solved earlier in the forum. My server is on a QNAP which I access and add my media to through a Shared Folder in Finder on my MacBook. I'm super confused on the ideal settings for ease of access remotely for my family. My hope is to be able to give family who are not on my Local network a link that they can follow to access my server. I tried to set up Emby Connect but it said not secure on Safari & Chrome and wouldn't open even after "allowing" everything in the permissions on the browser. However, I am able to access my server on my iPhone through Emby app when I'm away from home just fine so I can't figure out why it won't allow me access it when I turn my Wifi off on iPhone (as a test) to try to login via Emby.media for Emby Connect. I've gone down the rabbit hole researching SSL's, Reverse Proxys, Domains Names, etc and it's all kind of went right over my head. Any insight on a solution that allows my family outside my LAN to be able to access my server via web browser (Emby.media/ Emby Connect) as well as on (roku, Apple TV, iPhone) via the Emby app, I would be truly grateful!

The overall procedure is the same as done with Synology which I do have. I just have to look for things on QNAP compared to where I know they are on Synology.
