TZTZoro 26 Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 I am downloading music videos with AMVD and it works like a charm but emby is having trouble indexing the files. i have already switched to imvdb as metadata but i am still getting 0 items the folder structure is as follow: Artist -> Song name -> .metadata.nfo, .musicvideomp4, cover.jpg (the files are named after the song title) An metadata.nfo file: <musicvideo> <title>Someone Like You</title> <userrating>4.8679724</userrating> <track>11</track> <album>21</album> <plot></plot> <genre>Blue-Eyed Soul</genre> <genre>Blues</genre> <genre>Hip Hop</genre> <genre>Jazz</genre> <genre>Neo Soul</genre> <genre>Pop</genre> <genre>Pop Rock</genre> <genre>Pop Soul</genre> <genre>Soft Rock</genre> <genre>Soul</genre> <genre>Soul Jazz</genre> <director>Jake Nava</director> <premiered></premiered> <year>2011</year> <studio></studio> <artist>Adele</artist> <thumb>Someone Like You.jpg</thumb> </musicvideo> Where did i mess up?
Abobader 3470 Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Hello TZTZoro, Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: How to Report a Problem Thank you. Emby Team
Carlo 4561 Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Hi, I would suggest taking a look at the following knowledge base article for proper music naming and structure.https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159113-music-naming Picard is a great tool that can be used for tagging as well as building this file structure for you.
TZTZoro 26 Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 Thank you for your response @cayars but unfortunately i am still unable to get it to work. I have downloaded musicbrainz picard. i have ran it and it tagged the videos a bit differently and created a different folder structure as well as a different file name now the folder structure is as follow: videos->Artist->album->(number)song.mp4 can you perhaps explain it a little more extensively and possibly with examples? thanks in advance
Spaceboy 2573 Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 youve been provided with the wrong advice here. you need to be using https://imvdb.com/ as your reference point for music videos. videos need to precisely match an entry on imvdb otherwise you will get nothing. unfortunatley you'll also get lots of bad matches if it doesnt match exactly
Carlo 4561 Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 How so? That article covers BOTH music and music videos.
TZTZoro 26 Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 so @Spaceboy if i have it set like: it should be working with the downloads from amvd? or do they need to be reformatted? May i ask how are you managing your music videos if you have those? if yes, how do you manage and download your music videos?

Luke 42085 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 3 hours ago, TZTZoro said: @Luke What library is that?
TZTZoro 26 Posted December 15, 2020 Author Posted December 15, 2020 I have both the library type Music called music and the library type music videos called music videos The library Music has the following folders added: F:\data\media\music\video (mp4 files with metadata) F:\data\media\music\audio (audio files with metadata) The library music videos has the following folder: F:\data\media\music\video (mp4 files with metadata) Both use imvdb for music video metadata and both have a cover image generated so i think that it grabs metadata but music videos does not show any videos and if i go to a song i dont see a music video
Solution Luke 42085 Posted December 15, 2020 Solution Posted December 15, 2020 Quote F:\data\media\music\video Hi, you can't add this folder to two different libraries with two different content types. That is the reason for your issue.
