justinrh 260 Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 I have the same movie in three formats: MP4, m2ts, and BD folder structure (which has m2ts files, of course). 1) The MP4 was not added to the library. The other two were added, as individual movies of the same title (I had to amend the title so I'd know which is which!). 2) I played one for a while, but both now show as played the same amount.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Resume/userdata is not tracked by path, it is tracked by providerid ie IMDB, TMDB, TVDB. So as many copies of any item you have will appear in Continue Watching. If you use automatic versioning naming or the version grouping plugin you will not see this behavior. justinrh 260 Posted November 25, 2020 Author Posted November 25, 2020 Any idea why the MP4 did not get picked up?
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted November 25, 2020 Solution Posted November 25, 2020 (edited) 3 minutes ago, justinrh said: Any idea why the MP4 did not get picked up? If you do a search in Emby for that title how many items are returned? A guess would be it is being multiversioned already. If you select either version you already see does either version you more then just that item in the Media Info section? Edited November 25, 2020 by Happy2Play 1
justinrh 260 Posted November 25, 2020 Author Posted November 25, 2020 (edited) Quite right. The m2ts and MP4 are in one movie. I didn't notice the version drop list. Thanks. (BTW, there is a bug with the drop list in the Roku app.) Edited November 25, 2020 by justinrh
