Thanks. Is a one-time action because of new functionality, or does it happen regularly?  Will it take place only during the adding of new media from now on?

Task runs once a week and I believe updates people on a 30 day interval (date person was added).  So every 30 days that persons metadata should be updated.

It does.  Thanks.  I guess I'm a bit confused about why this kind of data would need to be refreshed.  Since the people associated with a movie don't change, I would expect the correct info to be attached when the media is first added to the library then it wouldn't need to be touched again.

At the same time metadata could be added for a person at any time.  And people do die and metadata needs updated, even though the UI still need updates again a that info was removed in one of the updates.

As Happy2Play mentioned descriptions for people do change from time to time.  People get nominations and win awards, they get married, divorced, have children which often shows up. They die as he mentioned as well as have blockbusters or new movies/shows that get featured.

This particular task is only for discovering changes to people image files underneath your server's metadata folder.

For example if you were to delete all of them, or change some of them outside of emby server, this task is what will inform the server of those changes.
