valdineifer 0 Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Hi, guys. I started to use the Emby recently and yesterday I realized that the server don't show my x265 media on main page. I thought that it could be an codec issue or something like that, but actually it is an metadata issue, I can watch them on Emby, but I have to go to the folders. I have movies and tv show (all x264) that it was recognized. I activated the 3 default metadata downloaders and I still got no metadata. An example of filename: "Supernatural.S15E06.Golden.Time.1080p.10bit.WEBRip.6CH.x265.HEVC-PSA". Thanks.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Can you show an example so we know exactly what your referring to.

I gave the example of Supernatural, practically all of episodes follow the same name model. Emby find the file, but not the metadata, then it doesn't show an Supernatural page. My movies (and another tv show) was recognized and have images and infos. Edited October 13, 2020 by valdineifer
Solution ebr 16199 Posted October 13, 2020 Solution Posted October 13, 2020 From that screen shot, it looks like you've pointed your "TV shows" library at an individual video or perhaps series folder. It should be pointed to a parent folder of all the series... 1

I'll wait my internet connection be better and give you a feedback.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 (edited) Also what to folders does the x265 library point to? But Supernatural shows as a Folder not a Series so there is a naming or structure issue also. Edited October 13, 2020 by Happy2Play 1
valdineifer 0 Posted October 13, 2020 Author Posted October 13, 2020 Well, @ebr, I think that it was what you said about the parent folder. Instead of add tv shows folders, I selected the parent folder and worked (I didn't do this before, because the parent folder has videos that I don't wanna on Emby, but now I don't care, it doesn't bother me). Now I still have some difficulties to identify the shows, but it's not a big problem, because I solve this using the "Identify" and search by the name of the show. 2 hours ago, Happy2Play said: Also what to folders does the x265 library point to? The x265 library was pointing specifically to tv shows folders (I added one by one, as I explained above).
