How to disable folder view

Hey everyone,

Sorry if this is a bit of a dumb question, but i have been looking for a way to disable this display methode for a while, and i couldn't find it in the knowledge base or in other threads on the forum.

On other threads people say it can be disabled in the user preferences, but in non of the subelements of this list could i find anything.

Other people said it was a libary setting, but i couldn't find anything in the general advanced tab of the libary management, or in the settings of a specific libary. 

I have tested a few of my other accounts on my server aswell, and this folder view is enabled for all of the users and all of the libaries.

 

First I thought something had gone wrong with the metadata, but when i click on 1917 it clearly has scraped the correct info

There is no way to turn off folder view that I'm aware of but I too would like to turn this off as it can make a mess depending on your mount points and disc layout that otherwise work great in Emby.  It's not a true folder view anyway as it's built from metadata not actual disc layout.  If you have 20 discs mounted each with a "Movies" mount then you'll get 20 "Movies" show up in folder view which makes it useless and confusing.

Hi.  I want to clarify your issue if you don't mind...  Did you click the "Folders" tab to get to that view or are you saying your normal movie libraries are showing up like that?

You cannot disable the folder view tab but you should be able to get a better view for your movies if things are setup properly.

I did not click any folders tab. It always shows up like this for all my devices (web, android, android tv, emby theater and iPad) for all of my accounts.

UPDATE: Something was wrong with my configuration. I switched from Linux to Windows, and all my libaries had become mixed content. The tabs where you can select folders did not show up, and was for some reason folders was always selected. After i removed all my libaries and added them again everything seems to be back to normal.
