atomicmoon 152 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Currently the, "edit subtitles" per episode/movie is a lifesaver from the OTT stand point!I would like to request that the same feature be applied to the higher tier and allow that for entire seasons from smart TV devices to allow for entire seasons, and/or series to scrape subtitles automatically. I know this can be done from the server side as a much broader action across the entire library, but sometimes a smaller approach is nice. Thanks for considering this suggestion! 1
Luke 42079 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Hi, what would you do at the series and season level?
kikinjo 281 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Hi, what would you do at the series and season level? He would initiate scan for tv show or season of tv show, so he wont have to wait 14 hours like now when scheduled task is scanning complete tv library. Or even days if content is on cloud / google drive.
Luke 42079 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Well he can already do that by refreshing metadata.
kikinjo 281 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Well he can already do that by refreshing metadata. U are saying that if i now refresh a show called "Suits", server will firstly refresh meta data and than go and search for all subtitles for every episode of all seasons of tv show suits ? No, he cant do it now.
kikinjo 281 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 (edited) Yes that is what I'm saying. Well i will test it right now, but i never seen happening that server after refresh went to download subs for all seasons and episodes. Edited June 4, 2020 by kikinjo
Solution kikinjo 281 Posted June 4, 2020 Solution Posted June 4, 2020 Well, i stand corrected, just checked logs and it is searching for subs. My bad, i never noticed it and did not know that server is doing it with refresh metadata. 1
atomicmoon 152 Posted June 4, 2020 Author Posted June 4, 2020 I also was unaware that refreshing metadata would trigger a subtitle refresh! Thanks for clarifying. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
