I had a movie I was deleting. it did not delete, and I tried the process a few times, and it finally deleted. A short time later, I found that all of my Movies had been deleted 4TB worth.  oh well....   In the process of building it back, I found that when I create a collection, I get duplicate entries in the collection page. Only on collections I used to have before it all got wiped.  They do not show up for selection when I first go to connect a movie to a collection. I would like to first choice, delete the duplicate without deleting the files, next, either fix the database, or delete it and start over.  At this point I am a bit gun shy as to safely get out of this situation.  See attached file.

Thx,

If you enter the collections and select edit metadata do they have the same paths?

Yes, they have the same paths. Also, the creation date on both are the date I originally created the collection, before all my files got deleted. I am assuming that when the files got deleted, the database did not update, leaving the old collections there, but invisible and when I add the files and  create the second one, something triggers and it shows up again.  I will try adding some files I know were in a collection, wait a while and see if the collection shows up.

If it is a actual database issue it will be a little difficult.  Do you have the Auto boxset plugin installed?

Not knowing your OS, but if you renamed or deleted the content of "\Emby-Server\programdata\data\collections" and do a Scan library on your Collections Library, does it resolve the issue (remove all collections).  If you rename the folder you need to create a new empty folder.  But I would make a copy just for backup purposes.

You can get the general location via Paths on the Dashboard.

If all collections are removed, then do a full library scan via Library or Scheduled task.

I stopped the server, did the rename of "\Emby-Server\programdata\data\collections" (windows 10), restarted the server and scanned the library as suggested.  It cleared out all the Collections. I then created a couple that I had duplicates of, and the problem seems to have been fixed.  It won't take me long to re-create the collections.

Much Thanks for the direction!

P.S. The old Collections directory had ALL of my previous collection information in it. The new on has only the ones I am now creating.
