arrbee99 1817 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Isn't that video just a recording of trying to play the video, not a file of the actual video itself ?
Luke 42081 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Ah yes my mistake. @@cnfsel can you provide a sample video for testing?
cnfsel 0 Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) Ah yes my mistake. @@cnfsel can you provide a sample video for testing? The file is large (1GB) and copyrighted. How can I submit it to you? I do n’t think it ’s appropriate to post here. Can you provide your email address? Edited April 13, 2020 by cnfsel
Luke 42081 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 You could send me a link to it over private message.
Solution Carlo 4561 Posted April 13, 2020 Solution Posted April 13, 2020 Just an update. After looking at the file it appears a problem with the file (maybe header info). A remux of the file fixed it and it's working now. 1
cnfsel 0 Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 (edited) 20% of HEVC videos have the same problem(playback cannot be resumed from the middle). I think it should be caused by the imperfect support of the system for HEVC. Edited May 2, 2020 by cnfsel
Carlo 4561 Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 What is the audio track on those videos? I see audio causing more problems than video in HEVC files.

cnfsel 0 Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 Use MX Player to play normally, no obvious problems found.
Carlo 4561 Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 So curious, after remuxing with the audio transcoded as above but doing a copy of the video track does the file play ok after that?
cnfsel 0 Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 After remuxing,it work. But it is confusing, why do so many files have such problems? And it is the same for all episodes of the entire TV series, so I think it is a compatibility issue with some kind of coding. I deliberately gave the original file to a friend who used plex to test, it can resume playback.
Carlo 4561 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Likely the issue is the person who put together these series you have gathered. I used to see this problem myself but totally solved this and all related problems by remuxing all files on my system.
