Hello again. I would have put this in the same thread I started earlier but since it's a different thing I felt it would be better with it's own thread.

So, I have Emby now setup on the PI 4 and have the cache and metadata folders setup to be used on the external drive.

All of my movies and TV Shows are stored on a NAS (Terramaster F5-221). When I setup the folders on that device I set them up to have the permissions be full access using the SMB protocol. I can connect to them from all of my windows computers with no issues. I can connect to them from Kodi using smb://192.168.1.24/movies1 for example and it works just fine.

However, I have tried so many combinations of a path from Emby to connect to them and I just can't get it to work at all. I have tried smb://192.168.1.24/movies1, \\192.168.1.24\movies1 and it keeps telling me it's an invalid path.

I know at the top of the page where you setup to connect to other folders it says something about Emby must be set up as a user with at least read access. Does that mean I have to setup a user on the NAS named Emby? I can't figure out that one either.

I feel like it is something simple I am doing wrong but I am currently at a loss.

I would suggest mounting the smb paths to a local share on the rpi, then using that local path in emby instead.

That worked just fine @@Luke - It took me a bit to figure out how to mount a network drive, but it's up and running now.
