dannymichel 104 Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Right now i have thousands of playlists because i have thousands of m3us in my music folder. it'd be nice if there was either an option to ignore m3u all together or separate the m3u playlists from user playlists. Also, when I want to add something to a playlist i actually made, i have to scroll through thousands of playlists to find the one i actually want. A dropdown or function where i can type out the name of or part of the name of a playlist to add to it would make sense.
Luke 42790 Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Yes an option for this would make sense. Thanks for the feedback.
StuBailey 36 Posted yesterday at 04:30 PM Posted yesterday at 04:30 PM Lots of threads similar on m3u and playlist wasn't sure where to post this so............. this thread is old so today emby has it so in the music library you can turn off importing all the m3u's, and you can set a playlist collaboration to non private.... ok, now when I turn off the music library importing, it works great to only show the playlist I made - except for any music playlist I make. That same playlist only shows if I turn the library import back on. An imported list offer no collaboration choice but a playlist made by adding one song at a time to a made playlist does show the menu option for collaboration choice so I can tell the difference from an imported one and a made one. Not sure if this is an over site or it just can't be done with music playlist.
Luke 42790 Posted yesterday at 05:20 PM Posted yesterday at 05:20 PM Because the imported list is part of the library, not associated to the user, so it gets hidden or shown in the same manner as the media files.
StuBailey 36 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago right, but I'm talking about a music playlist created by making a playlist and then right clicking songs to add to the playlist, and those are not showing up when I turn off the import.

That's not normal. Where are you looking for them?
StuBailey 36 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) For starters I looked in the Playlist Library and it didn't show after turning off the import.. I see how it works so to see that playlist in another library, if it was working, would require I have a path in that/those library.. I have lots working this way except for a music playlist.
