Saving .nfo files, but not with media?

I have found the option to either store .nfo files or have the metadata stored in the library, but is there a way to save the .nfo files to a separate folder like the artwork?  I would like to have the .nfo file, but I don't want them cluttering up the TV show folders themselves.  Is it possible?  Thanks.

No currently you can have it saved with media or only written in the database.

it was possible (and the default location), in the old days, where emby used its own xml format for metadata files, but xml export was discarded

Actually xml never had an option for this, at least not our xml saving.

sure no option, this is emby, but your xml files used to be saved in the metadata folder and not along the media files
