migration of User accounts

I stood up a new Emby server and migrated all media and made sure it was working correctly.  I have 3 Emby Accounts I would like to take from my old Emby Server to the new one including logon information.  What is the easiest way to do it?

If I knew where the accounts were stored, I could potentially get the names and logon information to recreate the accounts in the new location.

any assistance would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi.  If they are local server accounts, our Server Configuration Backup plug-in can do this for you.

If they  are Emby Connect linked accounts, then those links just need to be re-created once you have the local accounts re-created.

Yes, both are local.  I do a regular backup and only want the user accounts to be migrated.  the content and setup is as I want it.  Can I simply restore the users and nothing else?

Yes, though you may also want the user data.

You are correct, I do want the data as well.  Will I be prompted for what to restore when I go through the restore process?  Have not done this before as everything has been working great, Kudos to you all on that.  I have updated my NAS and it has the ability to run Emby from their now, so I can eliminate my Windows computer acting as the server.  just trying to simply things.

Yes there are option on what you can restore when you click on a backup within the plugin.

It is important to note, unless you are still within a trial period - you will need a Premiere Key to fully utilize the 'Server Configuration Backup' plugin
