Pittro 7 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I set my default player in settings but when i play video from my playlist it doesnt play from my default player ..all video's play fine from my media folders with my default player set at "Mx player pro" but not in playlist 1

Pittro 7 Posted February 1, 2020 Author Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) in android tv app..yes... i scroll to bottom to options...then app settings..then playback..then i scroll to bottom and click "use external player for videos" which i set to mx pro player when video comes on... but for some reason when that same video is in my playlist & i try to play it ...it uses its own original player which is green screen..does anyone have an answer to that.. I know when i use the emby mobile app on android box the videos work fine from playlist but its a pain to use with a remote..need external keyboard to function..but after 4-5 videos starts to buffer. CBers 7450 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I think the external player is only for Live TV. Seems to be a duplicated option on both the PLAYBACK and LIVE TV sections.

External players are not supported for lists of items. Why do you feel you need to use the external player?

Ok, the box I clicked says "Use External Player for Videos" and "Requires a capable app to play live streams" in the description. Pittro 7 Posted February 1, 2020 Author Posted February 1, 2020 Ebr...sorry your right I meant external..the player emby uses gives me problems...like pixelation and green screen..while the external player runs smooth...maybe something to do with video codecs .. like I said earlier...the mobile app runs smooth on android tv box but is a pain too function

How do I reset that "always" so I can select another player? I am trying this because my Live TV is looping back often. Thanks.

You need to look in the Android settings on the device to change that option. We should investigate your looping problem though so that we could solve that.
